“Hi, my name is Gemma and I am five years old. I look like Nana from Peter Pan and I can become her with some practice and guidance. I am very sweet, house trained and I know a lot of commands. I am the leader of my pack unless an acquaintance says otherwise, then I think about letting others lead. I just want everyone to know that we all have our positions and I want labels to be clear with my pack friends. I struggle with….. SQUIRREL !!!!”
“Gemma come back here! We have a bio to do.”
“Oh yeah… now where were we, oh, as you can see I corrected very well. Now where were we… positions, friends, and… oh yeah… I love to chase until I am tired, most everyone is faster than me when it comes to chasing.”
“What do you chase Gemma?”
“Oh…. well, I chase squirrels, possibly cats and small dogs. I still need practice socializing because I get a little excited.”
“You’re sulking now Gemma. It is going to be ok because someone who knows St. Bernards is going to just love you! Please continue Gemma, I know you love to talk and you are doing great!”
“As I practice being Nana I let the young ones go ahead of me. No matter where I am going I love to ride in the car, cars are great for napping. The hum of the engine and the swift feeling of the car just relaxes me. Just because I nap, don’t think for one minute that there is something wrong with me. I am up to date with all my shots, I am negative for heartworm and I am spayed too. Overall, my foster thinks I have an awesome personality and I think so too! PS. I am the supergirl in the middle of my two sidekicks! The other picture is me playing coy!”
