Winston: is 1 year old rough coat male that we rescued from his owner. He is a sweet pup that is very playful, loves meeting people, and good with kids but Winston really wants to be the only dog in the house because he loves to have all the attention to himself. Winston is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, but will require some obedience and house training being he was raised as an out door dog. 12/30/2016
Arizona: Sweet Arizona was an owner relinquish. Unfortunately her owner had to rehomed her because of a job change and made her an outside dog. She did not acclimate well to that and kept finding a way to run around. AZ is the perfect house guest. No messes, keeps to herself and her people. She love she everyone she meets and would love to become a part of your family and home. She is about four years old. 12/30/2016
Benedict: is a tall, very big 135lb 5 yr old, long hair neutered male Saint Bernard. He is the sweetest, most affectionate boy ever! Benedict lost his family when they moved and couldn’t take him with them and has been patiently waiting for a new person or family to adopt him. He has a great sense of humor and really loves people. He bonds quickly and wants to be next to his person all the time. He loves to rest his head in your lap and rest at your feet while you are working in your office. Benedict was raised with children around, so he understands little people. He gets along well with female dogs and would love to go to a home with a large breed female that will play with him but he will also be happy as an only dog. He has not been exposed to cats. He has been around chickens and doesn’t seem interested in them. Benedict loves car rides and tennis balls. He is UTD on shots, heartworm negative and micro chipped. Can you give Benedict the home and love he deserves? Benedict is currently being fostered in Newberg, OR. 12/27/2016

Jethro: is 6-7yr old rough coat male that was dumped out on the streets to fend for himself. When we picked him up he was very dirty, matted, under weight by about 30lbs, and had a huge tumor that was on middle of his tail which we had to remove to save his life. Jethro is the most mellow and sweetest boy ever; he loves attention, belly rubs or just hanging out with you. He is fine with other dogs and great in the car. Jethro is in a foster home with another saint and per his foster mom he is a sweet happy boy but he deserves a family of his own. He has a big bark but once you are in the door he just wants to sit on your feet and be the center of attention. Arlo is good with other dogs and cats but should not go to a home with birds. He is fine with older children who can understand that he has some arthritis in his back and are respectful of his space.12/8/2016
Goober: is aa 5 year old male Saint Bernard. He is the sweetest most loving boy ever! He will do well with other dogs with a proper introduction. He has lived with small dogs and is currently in a foster with another Saint who he loves to play with. His former owner said he did fine with cats and ducks too. Goober has separation anxiety and would do best with someone that is home most of the time, or could take him to work. He has chewed up some baseboards and blinds in his foster home when left alone, but he didn’t do that with his former owner, who was home a majority of the time. His world has been turned upside down lately, and he needs someone that is patient with him. He bonds quickly. 12/8/2016
Dozer: is a 7 yr old long haired male good with other dogs with proper introductions, cats that are used to dogs and won’t run and kids who are respectful and will not climb on him. Sawyer: is a great dog he does need to be introduced properly to strangers but does not take long. He gets along with other dogs. He has not been introduced to cats so that is unknown. He came from a home with a 2 year old so did fine with her. But we always say these are large dogs and animals so behavior can be unpredictable. He needs a foster ASAP. Please consider taking him into your home. Leash trained, Does well in a car, Likes toys, Obedient, Playful, Affectionate, Eager to please, Goofy.12/1/2016

Coco: is a wonderful youthful, but well behaved Saint. Leash trained does need some redirection at first, Does well in a car, Obedient, Playful, Affectionate, Eager to please, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle. She is housetrained. She is a purebred papers and AKC information will not be supplied. She is spayed and up to date on all shots. She is on the smaller side for a saint. She needs to be in a home as the only pet. She has been OK with animals smaller then her, but that is truly unknown at this time. The animals would need to meet and evaluate by future adopter how the new family created would work or not work. Coco is currently in the Scranton PA area. But will be moving to Pittsburgh area shortly.12/1/2016
Roman: is a 2 year old smooth coat Saint Bernard who came to foster after living in a shelter for about 6 months. Roman is a calm dog who requires much coaxing to join the group. He is submissive to his two foster sister saints and his foster brother saint. He enjoys running in the yard and playing. He is housebroken. He asks to go out by standing by the door or more often will approach his foster people and put his paw up. He has been on an invisible fence since he came into foster. He enjoys that freedom. He does not beg at the table and prefers to lay down while he eats. He prefers to sleep in the garage but his foster family has been rewarding him with lots of praise when he chooses to sleep in the house. There have been no fights with the other dogs. Roman can sit, lay, shake, and takes food very gently from your hand. When Roman was surrendered, it was reported he had been aggressive to small children. Roman’s foster family definitely recommends any children in the home be at least 13 years old. Roman is fond of the foster family teenagers. Roman should not be around cats. Efforts to integrate him with cats have been unsuccessful. Small farm animals such as chickens should be in a place Roman cannot access. Roman likes to have his “hand held.” He will put his paw up like he wants to shake but he wants to have his paw held for a minute or two. He will let you know when he is done. He also likes to have his chin rubbed. Roman is not a heavy drooler. Leash trained, Does well in a car, Likes to swim, Likes toys, Obedient, Playful.12/1/2016
Bosley: is a very laid back Saint and would love to go on strolls and moderate impact exercise. He could stand to loose some weight. He is a big loveable Saint. But has shown not to be good with other dogs and children. He must be in a adult only home. He really is a love just needs to have some understanding in the likes and dislikes. He has not shown to be a dog to want to go after children or other dogs but they do need to keep their distance. Please consider this guy as a possible new addition to your family. He is great need of a foster as well as permanent home. He appears to be very healthy no known medical issues at this time. Leash trained, Does well in a car, Obedient, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle. Bosley appears to be housetrained.12/1/2016
Beethoven: Meet Beethoven! Beethoven is an 8 year old, soon to be neutered, beautiful long haired male who is currently being fostered in the Seattle area. Beethoven has always been loved and well cared for, but his owner fell on some hard times and became homeless. Beethoven spent some time living in the car with his owner before coming into rescue. He lost a great deal of weight, but with his foster mom’s help he has been gaining weight regularly. Beethoven is just a fantastic dog! He is housebroken, rides well in the car, likes playing with other dogs, is good around cats and has been good around the kids he has been exposed to. He loves the dog park, belly rubs, ocean walks and beef jerky. 11/19/2016
Hugo: We are looking for a foster home or adoptive home for Hugo ASAP! Hugo is a senior long haired neutered male whose age is unknown but we are estimating to be 10 years old. Hugo is losing his home due to lease contract changes by his family’s landlord and he will need a place to go within the next week. Hugo’s family rescued him around six years ago, after finding him chained up and starving. Hugo has been great with adults, kids, cats, bunnies and most other dogs. (He does not like herding dogs and some male dogs, although he is good with the male he is currently living with). He is housebroken. Because of his age, Hugo will need some TLC. He is having some skin issues and is highly allergic to fleas. He will need to have some blood tests done to see what we need to do to help him. He gets up and down fine. Is there a place in your heart for Hugo? Hugo is living in Oregon City at this time. 11/19/2016

Daisy 2.0: This sweet gal came to us from a shelter in IN. The shelter took her in as a owner relinquish, covered in maggots, and severely malnourished. They dont come much more sweet and a snuggler like Daisy. She will be available to go to her forever home soon. Will you give Daisy her final home forever? Gracie has been an outdoor dog, but is indoor at her foster home and is doing great. She learned the doggy door quickly. She has had a couple accidents inside, but the foster said Gracie knows it’s wrong behavior and goes straight to the kennel after. 11/7/2016

The good news is he is heart worm negative and is now current on all vaccinations. Max is weighing in at 55 lbs and loves to play. He gets along with everyone, kids, dogs and cats. We have started socializing him and if you have a treat he thinks you are his new best friend. Due to what breed he is he will not be good fit for a first time dog owner, but if you have giant breed experience and are looking for a new big buddy than here is your guy.11/3/2016
Melly: Meet Melly. She is one of the two sisters from the same litter and have been together the whole 2 1/2 years of their life. She has been vetted and are up-to-date on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $350 each. Can you bring this gal the life she deserves?10/25/2016
Hodi: and Stella: are a bonded pair that came to rescue after their owner could no longer care for them. They are about 6 years old. Hodi is a big handsome, outgoing l/h male who will soon be neutered. Stella is a cute, more reserved l/h spayed female who has had one litter and could put on some weight. The dogs have been around kids of all ages, but they will do better with kids 12yrs and up just because of their size. Hodi has a big bark, especially when people come to the door but he is a big baby. Hodi had a run in with his previous owner’s intact male bulldog, so he may be selectively friendly with other dogs. Currently, the dogs are getting their medical needs attended to and getting to know their foster family.

Ivan: Hi! My name is Ivan and I am just the cutest boy! I am a 5yr old soon-to-be neutered s/h male. I am happy and seem to love everyone I meet. I like all people, dogs and cats. I love attention. When I came to rescue, I was underweight and had a few health problems. We are getting all that taken care of and now I am putting on some weight. I love to play and I have pretty good manners. I know basic commands but as I am very inquisitive, need some practice walking on the leash. I’m a pretty quick learner. I would like a family that has plenty of time for me, would take me for car rides and has another big dog to play with me. I am used to being an indoor/outdoor dog and will be most happy if I could sleep at the foot of your bed and watch TV with you. A fenced yard is required as I would likely wander about trying to make new friends if I got bored.10/20/2016
Charisma: My name is Charisma and it fits my personality perfectly because I have so much enthusiasm when I meet people! My humans love me very much and have raised me since I was a puppy but my mom is really not feeling well and they want me to have a good life so they think it would be best for me to be with people who can show me lots of attention they just cant give me right now. I am 6 years young and I know how to behave around cats, but other dogs? Not so sure as I have never been around any that I can remember. There is a little human here the same age as me and we grew up together so I do know about children. I love to ride in the car but I have not had much in the way of training, so if you take me into your life you will need to be patient with me- but I do know that going to the bathroom is something I am to do outside so no worries there. Would you be interested in having some charisma in your pack? 10/20/2016

Hank does well with other non-dominant dogs, but no cats and definitely no chickens! Thor: is a 1 year 3 month old Great Dane. He came to us because he was knocking the kids over, but he is a big overgrown baby who loves everyone and is excited and wants to play. He appears to have had very little training, and is somewhat timid at first, but will quickly warm up. Thor is house trained, does well with other dogs, cats unknown. 10/17/2016
Marilyn: is estimated to be about 6 years old. She came into rescue just a few days ago in pretty rough shape, with ear infections and skin issues. Marilyn has a very sweet temperament, and gets along well with her other Saint friends. She is housebroken, and likes to eat, as she is very underweight. Marilyn tested negative for heartworms. She is being fostered in the DFW area. 10/12/2016
Maya:
Maya is a 4 to 5 year old female smooth coated saint that has come back to us. She decided that the young children in her home were too much for her. Maya started barking, hiding in her create when they came around and just was getting more and more agitated with them. She is good with all dogs and cats and needs a home with teenagers or no kids at all. She is a very loving girl and once she trusts you, you will have a 145 lbs shadow following you everywhere; this includes walking about 5 feet behind you when you mow the lawn10/4/2016
Luna: is a 3 yr old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter after her owners dumped her there. When we picked her up she was full of mats and dirty but she will get a bath within the next day and feel much better. Luna is a sweet pup that loves attention, belly rubs, good with other dogs big or small, and rides great in the car. She is vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. Now all Luna needs is her forever home and lots of love.10/3/2016
Brix: is estimated to be about 5 years old. He came into rescue as a stray, weighing in at 81 lbs, with heartworms, matted fur, hip issues, and not alot of zest for life. Poor guy was on the top of the euthanasia list at the shelter. But now, he is a happy Saint again. Gaining weight, had a haircut, and got rid of some nasty ear infections. He has a ways to go, but he is very sweet, gets along with other dogs, and loves his human friends! Brix is being fostered in the DFW area. He is neutered.9/30/2016
Duke: is a gorgeous 7 year old Saint Bernard looking for his happy ever after. Duke is amazing with other dogs small and big, and although he is pretty interested in cats, would probably be fine with a dog savvy cat, and in fact has been great with ducks! He loves people and can’t get close enough! No…really. He is a 117 pound lap dog and nothing will stop him! Duke is housetrained, walks great on the leash, does not jump up on people or try to jump fences. He likes to chill, but is also still very playful and many people think he is younger than he is. He is not much for toys, but loves treats and will counter surf if given the opportunity! Duke’s coat is so soft and he really enjoys being brushed. Duke is just a wonderful dog and we would love to see him find an amazing home to spend the rest of his years in. NOTE: Duke had surgery about two months ago to remove a large portion of his liver, but it was not cancer, and he has not had issues since. NOTE; Fenced yard is required and all animals in the home must be fixed. 9/30/2016
CoCo: is a 4 yo spayed female rough coat. Her owner had to go into assisted living and could no longer care for her.
She is very sweet but shy.9/28/2016
Atlas: is a 3 yr old neutered s/h male. He is gentle & loving with people, housebroken, UTD on shots, has been well cared for. He is being rehomed as there have been changes in the family dynamic and he wasn’t getting the attention he deserved. He has lived with children 12yrs and older and has done well around younger children. He knows some basic commands such as sit and lay down but he tends to pull on the leash. He barks and charges when people come to the door. He is also food protective. Atlas will need a single dog home where he can be the center of attention with a strong leader who is willing to work with him on his leash and territorial issues. He has not been socialized around other dogs, so we recommend some obedience training where he can get some exposure in a positive environment. Do you have room in your heart for this boy? 9/26/2016
Tilly: is an 11 month old purebred female Saint who was surrendered due to killing the chickens. She is very prey driven towards chickens so absolutely NO chickens can be in the new home, cooped up or not. She is in a foster home (thank you Jen!) with a Great Dane mix and a chihuahua and is doing wonderful with both! Tilly will be fixed this week, updated on her shots, microchipped and then will be ready to go.9/25/2016
Olaf!: Meet Olaf!!!! He is a 2 year old Saint Bernard, gorgeous as they come! This boy is a little adventurer and needs room to roam…FENCED room to roam…TALL FENCED room to roam. Wood or vinyl fence preferred. Olaf does great with other dogs and would love a buddy to play with! He has never met a cat, so that is unknown, but he lives with kids and has done great with them. He is house trained, but a dog door might be best as if he is left too long inside he may have an accident. Olaf has quite a bit of energy and will need an outlet for that. Olaf loves running in the sprinklers too 🙂 He has zero leash manners at the moment, but that can be worked on for sure. In fact, an obedience class overall is a good idea…not because he is a bad dog, but it helps create a good relationship between dog and human, freshens up any commands he knows, and is mentally stimulating for dogs. Apply to adopt this handsome fella at application. 8/26/2016
Lightening: Meet Lightening. She is one of the two sisters from the same litter and have been together the whole 2 1/2 years of their life. Unfortunately their owner lost her house and had to move to an apartment and could not take them with her. Lightening is sweet and loves people, and long to be in her forever home. She has been vetted and are up-to-date on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $350 each. Can you bring this gal the life she deserves ? 9/25/2016

We also recommend that Brut goes to a home with another dog.9/24/2016
Aspen: is a 4 month old smooth coat female puppy that we rescued from her owners. She is a little girl that needs to be vaccinated, spayed, and micro chipped which will all be done in a week’s time. Marley: 4 year old Marley found herself in need of rescue when her family no longer had time for her. This sweet gal is great with other dogs. House trained, loves everyone she meets. She is great with kids but due to her size 8 years and older is suggested. She will require mandatory basic obedience due to her age. Her adoption fee is $350. Want to add this doll to your home? 9/18/2016
Ginger: Meet Ginger! She is an almost 6 month old Saint Bernard who is seriously cute as a button!!!!! Ginger was returned for being too puppy like with kids so small children are not recommended. She has a lot of energy and would probably do very well with a doggy playmate to run with. She doesn’t seem to mind cats either! Ginger is house trained and just as sweet as can be. 9/16/2016
Zeus: is a wonderful 12-18 month old Great Pyrenees. He gets along great with most dogs and loves people, especially children. 9/14/2016
Bella: is an 8 month old pup who was born on Christmas Day. She is shy at first but warms right up and is good with other dogs and kids. Unknown on cats. 9/14/2016
KAZIAH: a 4 year old Newfoundland (she looks to be a mix but we are told she is purebred). She has Retriever qualities and the tennis ball is her best friend. You will be too if you throw it (and throw it and throw it…). Haha 🙂 She also seems to like the water and would probably make a really good camping/hiking buddy! Kaziah will do best with an active person/family that will take her for walks, the dog park (which she has done VERY well at!), swimming, etc. She is not a dog that will do well or be happy just sitting at home all the time. Kaziah met a family yesterday, but she was unsure of the small child in the home, so it’s probably best that she be with older kids. Kaziah does really well with other dogs too and would probably love a buddy to run and play with! If you think you are the right home for her. Fenced yard is required and all animals in the home must be fixed. Also potential adopters must be within a days drive.9/12/2016
MOUSE: is an 8 week old Saint Bernard mix (possibly Akita?). He is an energetic little guy, and not afraid of anything. He gets along with dogs and cats, but does not like chickens. Mouse loves to cuddle but is also independent. He does well in the crate at night and we are working on potty training. He also does really well at coming when called and the foster is working on sit and some other commands. He was pretty skinny when we got him and he is a little protective of his food right now, but we are also working on that. Mouse currently weighs about 15 pounds and will be a large dog. He likes to cuddle and play and is a sweet baby! 9/12/2016
Bob: He is a long hair male Saint who is 4 yrs old. He likes other dogs and people! He DOES NOT like: Small spaces such as crates, No bear hugs. Lilly: is a gorgeous four year old saint. She loves water and playing with as many tennis balls as she can get. If the tennis ball goes in the water it’s even better. Lilly would do best in a home with adults and older children because of her love of playing. She gets along with dogs outside of the home but prefers to be the only dog inside the home.9/10/2016
Yogi Bear: is a 4yr young L/H neutered male. Yogi loves everyone, has been well socialized, loves car rides, watching tv, snuggling, walks and attention. He is housebroke, microchipped, UTD on shots. He is a big boy at 173lbs. He needs a home that is willing to help him lose a few pounds to get him at a healthy weight. 8/31/2016
PAISLEY: Paisley is a 1 1/2 year old female Saint Bernard. She is on the small side at approximately 105 pounds. She is energetic and happy! She loves to jump up and give kisses, and lean into you for loves. She has the cutest smile and is just incredibly sweet. Paisley is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. She adores going on walks and walks pretty well on leash! She would do well with another dog to play with and get that energy out! Their owners were contacted but they decided to release them to the shelter. Her mate was adopted by the public but Pamela was left behind so we pulled her. Pamela is very sweet but has never had any training so we recommend obedience training. She is vaccinated, spayed, micro chipped, OK with other dogs and rides great in the car.8/24/2016
Note: All dogs in rescue are micro chipped (AVID)
Ricky: he is 4 yrs old. We are Told he is house broken, that is No guarantee. He is a loving dog, that will sit for you as you can see in the pictures, he likes a soft hand. Gets along with other dogs and cats, Has been raised with children. Came in with his Girl friend Lucy and would like to go home with her. There is a discount for adopting 2 dogs. The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and a large bag of dog food. Came in with his girl friend Lucy. He loves people, BUT: Will sneak out doors, so not good for a home with an open door policy) He does Not have to be adopted with Lucy. 8/24/2016
Knucklez: is a neutered l/h 10yr old male. He is possibly a Great Pyrenees/St. Bernard mix. Knucklez was turned over to rescue from a shelter after his could not find housing that would allow a large dog. Knucklez had some health issues that have been taken care of. Knucklez has some territorial issues that need to be worked with. He is very protective of his home and people. 8/22/2016
Tinkerbell: is our special needs senior. We are looking for a hospice home where she can live out her final days in peace and quiet with loves and hugs daily. She is not familiar with cats but her previous life had small dogs. It takes special people to have a dog for their last few months. But dont they deserve as much devotion as they give us? 8/22/2016
Tenya: Meet Tenya! Tenya is a 7 year old Saint Bernard, looking for a quiet home to spend the rest of her years. She is great with dogs and cats, house trained, and an absolute sweetheart! She is however, TERRIFIED of loud noises, guns, fireworks, etc. and needs a quiet area to live. If she is in the house when the loud noises happen, she does much better, but if she is outside, she will try to break through fences, dig under, anything to get in the house and get away from the noise. 8/22/2016
Anna Lee: is a gorgeous 18 month old Saint Bernard Puppy. She is new to rescue and we can say at this time she is perfect with people of all ages. Will be dog tested this weekend. 8/19/2016
Maggie: is a 2 year old Saint Bernard. She is good with people, dogs and cats. At this time Maggie is heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment. We are accepting applications for her to be adopted but she will not be able to go to her new home until she tests negative. 8/19/2016
Teddy: is a happy, friendly 1.5 year old male St. Bernard who was adopted in March but is back in Rescue because he really needs a home with another dog(s). He has a high energy level which was not a good fit with the family cat. Teddy does enjoys car rides and running like the wind! He would love an active lifestyle. If you are interested in adopting (or fostering) Teddy, 8/17/2016
Magnus: is a gorgeous 3 year old Great Dane/Saint Bernard mix. He absolutely LOVES to play with other bigger dogs, and does great with the smaller ones too! Magnus also does well with cats. He is house trained, and crate trained. Magnus weighs in at about 130 pounds and is a love bug. He is incredibly sweet, but also will let you know if someone or something is going on that shouldn’t be by barking and standing guard. Magnus is a good boy whose owner just fell on hard times. He has adjusted incredibly well to his foster home and is ready for his forever home! 8/15/2016
Oakley: How is it you ask that another young gal has found herself in rescue? Sweet Oakley had a family and then they no longer wanted her. What can I say? She loves people, kids, cats, other dogs, car rides, playing and lounging. She is 2.5 years old and such a love bug. Help Oakley find her way into her forever home. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. online to add a little bit of Oakley to your life!8/14/2016
Peanut: is an 8 year old, female. As a senior, she is looking for a forever home to live out her final days. Peanut had a wonderful life prior to her coming to rescue. She was owned by a retired couple that traveled in their motor home where she accompanied her humans everywhere, so she is a great and calm traveler. Both her owners passed away leaving Peanut to wonder what happened. She is wonderful with people and is currently living with one male dog friend. We think that having another dog friend in the household keeps her calm, as her foster family hasn’t seen any sign of her previous separation anxiety issues. She is good with cats but if they run, she will chase them. She is house-trained, spayed and up to date on her shots. She is very energetic for her age, knows ‘sit’ and ‘lie down’, and prefers a cool tile floor to the furniture. She is very smart, lovable and affectionate, and loves to snuggle. She’s also very neat when it comes to eating and drinking, no slobber trails! She is very happy when it’s time for her daily walk, and walks beautifully on a leash. A 6 ft fence is highly recommended. Will you be the the one to adopt this sweet girl?8/10/2016
Dozer: is a gorgeous 5 year old neutered male and has a huge personality! Dozer does great with other dogs and would love a friend to play with, but not mandatory. He does okay with cats until they run from him…then the chase is on. He has a bad habit of jumping so little kids are not recommended. Giant breed experience required for this guy as he is very big and strong and needs some training. He is house trained and just a sweet love bug. 8/9/2016
Sally: is an 8 year old English Mastiff. She showed up as a stray at the shelter and no one came to claim her. She has done well with other dogs, but NO cats! She does great in the house and would love someone that is home a lot. She is incredibly sweet and loving. 8/9/2016
Allyson: Meet Allyson! Allyson has been bounced around a lot in these last few weeks, poor girl, and through no fault of her own. Luckily she landed last night with ISBR into a great foster home, thank you Jacob and Marilee!!! This girl’s happy days have just begun…now it’s time to find her happy ever after. Allyson has 3 legs, we aren’t sure what happened, but it doesn’t stop her! She was outside last night playing with the other two dogs in the foster home and did great She ignores the cats, and loves the kids. We have been told that she may have some food protectiveness, but there have been no signs of aggression from her. She was crated last night and had no potty accidents and did not whine. She sat pretty this morning too while waiting for breakfast. Allyson is just a great dog, and needs a family! 8/9/2016
Henrietta: is a Golden Girl, but although she is a senior, she is spry and sometimes playful. She is an 8 year old Great Pyrenees, excellent with other dogs, cats, chickens, kids (not the kind that crawl on her though). She does have hip issues, but as long as you keep her on her Tramadol and Carprofen, plus some glucosamine, she does well, as you can see in this video. Henrietta loves being outside, but also loves being inside with her family. She would do great in a home where she can have access to inside and outside at her choice. House trained, and non-destructive when left alone. 8/9/2016
Tonka: is a beloved family St. Bernard who needs our help because of a family illness which requires the home to be completely sterile with no pets. The family is saddened by this news but have to do what is best for their infant daughter. Tonka is 5 years old and she is good with other dogs, cats and kids. 8/8/2016
Marla: is a sweet 9 month old female Husky mix. She is spayed, shots current, good with dogs, cats, people of all ages. Loves to cuddle. Marla weighs about 45 lbs. She is in the Victoria, TX area. 8/7/2016
Grace: is an 18 to 24 month old Kuvasz dog (yeah I had to look this one up also). A lady found her on Craig’s List and took her home, only to decide that she was too big. Grace was then taken to the local Animal Shelter and dumped there. That is where we came in, what we found is an energetic / happy puppy that needs a strong owner who can help train her. She is very friendly and so far has not meet a stranger (two or four legged). She is a very fast learner but still has a lot of puppy energy in a big body. So she can only go to a new home that has big dog experience and one without young children. So does love kids but is too rambunctious for small ones. 7/26/2016
OTIS: is finally ready for adoption! Yay, Otis! Some of you may remember when Otis came into rescue with WSBR. When he arrived, he had a number of health issues, enough that we held some fundraisers to treat the staph infection on his skin, the tick-borne illness he had, allergies, and he also needed to be neutered.
So Otis is ready now for his forever home. He is a 4-year-old boy, medium-sized, about 135 pounds. Otis would probably do best in a house with older children, 10 or over, because he tends to get excited when they are running around and wants to play, too. At 135 pounds, he could hurt a little human. So definitely no toddlers or babies.
Otis likes most other dogs with proper introductions and a little get-to-know-you time . It’s unknown how he would be with cats. He likes a good game of tug with his foster mom or his foster siblings. He walks nicely on leash but can get a little excited when meeting new dogs. He will require a limited-ingredient diet due to food allergies for the rest of his life. He also loves car rides and his daily 3-mile walks and plenty of treats. 7/24/2016
Sanders: is a young male saint mix recently brought into rescue with WSBR who will soon be available for adoption. He is estimated to be about a year old and is described as very friendly. The shelter has advised us he has what they describe as mild hip dysplasia, but so far it doesn’t seem to bother him. After being evaluated for a few weeks so we get to know Sanders and his personality better, he will then be available for adoption.7/24/2016
Willow: is a 2yr old smooth coat female that we rescued from a local shelter after being picked up as a stray. She is a little under weight, and needs to be vaccinated, spayed, and micro chipped which will all be done in a weeks time. Willow is sweet pups that loves play, get belly rubs, and does well with other dogs. Being that she is young and has no manners she will require obedience training.7/20/2016
Luca: is 2 yr old rough coat male that we pulled from a local shelter after he was picked up as a stray. When we picked him up he was very dirty, matted, and under weight. We got him neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, but being he is a young boy we do recommend obedience training. Luca is a sweet boy that loves meeting people and getting lots of attention. He is great in the car, fine with other dogs and we believe he might be house trained.7/20/2016
McKenzie: My name is McKenzie. I am between eight and nine years old. I love everybody that I meet. My owner gave me up when she no longer had time for me. So now I find myself looking for yet another forever home. Turns out landing ISBR hands was the best thing that has happened to me. My skin was in really bad shape due to fleas and I was so itchy. I am on the mend now. Can you make me a forever place in your house? I’m good with dogs , cats and kids.

GREAT DANE PUPPIES::::::: Idaho Saint Bernard Rescue accepted 2 Great Danes that had been intercepted from going to a kill shelter in CA. Joe and Lady’s owner had passed away and had no one to take care of them. We have discovered that Lady is pregnant and due around the first week of June. Joe is the daddy. The vet advised there are approximately 7 puppies. The puppies will have their dewclaws removed, first set of shots, and come with a spay/neuter contract so you are NOT allowed to breed them. Mama is a Merle and daddy is almost all black. 7/16/2016
LADY: came to us with her partner, Joe, after her owner died. Turns out, SHE IS PREGNANT with approximately 7 babies. Babies are due around the first week of June. Mama is a Merle Great Dane, and daddy is a black Great Dane. Babies will be available for adoption. Lady will be available after the babies have left. Lady is a 4 year old who will be spayed, and is up to date on all shots, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm tested. 7/16/2016
Mozart: is a one year old male who was adopted from the Animal Foundation in April, however, he was returned because he proved to be too much dog for the adopters. Mozart is a friendly, playful boy. He does need someone mmitted to training him to be better on a leash and less mouthy. Mozart loves to play with other dogs! 7/11/2016
Calvin: HI ALL! I’m Calvin and I’m told that I need a new home. Know anyone who wants a super mellow sweet guy to hang out with? My foster mom says I’m too skinny but that she is going to put some weight on me. I also have some dreadlocks going on, but hey, It’s possible I was a hippie in my past life. I am all about peace and love. So I suppose you need more info? Okay, I’m around 7-8 years old, but don’t feel like it! Someone removed my family jewels when I was sleeping, SO RUDE! I’ve had all my shot thingies so I don’t get sick and they put this thing in my neck called a microchip in case I get lost so they can find my people. I really like to stay close so that was probably not necessary but whatevs. I really like other dogs, and I wish I could talk so I could tell these folks if I like cats or not, but for now I’ll keep them guessing. I’m really not a fan of small kids. They tend to do things that make me upset like pull on my tail or try to ride me. Not cool man. I love car rides and ear rubs. I’m told I’m getting a B-A-T-H. These humans think I can’t spell. Ha! I know what that means but it will feel good to get this dirt off my body. If you want to meet me, apparently you have to fill out an adoption application. 7/6/2016
HUGO: Hugo is an 8 month old Newfoundland mix who came to us with an old broken leg that healed badly. He will need surgery to fix the leg and then several weeks of rehab. He is great with other dogs, and loves kids. 7/6/2016
Bubba: is a 2 year old Bulldozer! This boy is incredibly sweet and loving, but has no manners yet. Bubba is said to be good with other dogs, cats unknown, kids unknown. He is at the vet recovering from kennel cough so we haven’t been able to properly assess him yet, but the vet staff adore him! Bubba will need a strong owner to guide him and train him. Bubba will be neutered, updated on all shots, microchipped and heartworm tested prior to adoption. 7/6/2016
Maggie: She is a short hair female Saint and is 2-3 yrs old. She likes smaller dogs, larger ones she needs time to get use to. She is a very gentle girl. The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and a large bag of dog food. 7/4/2016
Joe: Joe’s owner passed away recently and family couldn’t care for him. He and his sister Lady came to our rescue and have been in a foster home. Joe is approximately 6 years old, is a little skinny, but we are working on that! He is absolutely the sweetest, and loves everyone. Does great with bigger dogs, not so much smaller dogs. Unknown on cats. House trained, will be neutered, is up to date on all shots, microchipped and heartworm tested. Has also been dewormed and given Frontline as he had fleas. Joe is a doll and deserves a happy, forever home! 6/24/2016
Ares: is a four year old 125 lbs (who could use a little more weight) English Mastiff who the young child in his home like to jump on and try to ride. Well Ares decided he did not like it and would bark and push him around. So it is easier to take Ares to the pound than teach the young child, so Ares is now with us. Ares loves the ladies and warms up to man after a few minutes, as for kids he needs to go to a home with teenagers or old children. He is not mean to the younger kids he just hides behind the person with the leash and does not want anything to do with them. Ares is house broken, up to date on all shots but does needs some leash work.6/20/2016

KENDRA: Kendra is a beautiful 1 year old Saint Bernard who was rescued from a very bad situation. She was very scared and jumped at every noise and movement, but is slowly settling in and learning that people aren’t so bad. She is on the smaller side, and is currently in a loving foster home. She is doing great with other dogs and kids. She will be ready for adoption soon, but we are letting her decompress and recover from her spay for now.6/7/2016
Autumn: is a 2 year old sweet girl who has been through a lot. She suffers from seizures which are brought on by the stress of being crated or confined so she must have run of the house which is fine because she’s a very good girl. She’s housebroken and doesn’t chew. She is currently on phenobarbital for her seizures but is being weaned off and will be on Pottasium Bromide instead. She also had Entropion of her left eye which she just had surgery on. She is great with all dogs and cats and wonderful with children. 6/6/2016
Finley: is 2 years old and WONDERFUL with humans. Fantastic with kids. Very loving, housebroken, neutered, up to date on all of his shots and heartworm medicine and has been through extensive obedience training so listens to commands very well. BUT, he is not good with other animals and needs to be in an only pet. Finley is an owner assist and re-homing fee will be worked out with owners. 6/6/2016
Cali: is a 3 month old female Great Pyrenees. She has had her first set of puppy shots and getting ready for her second set. She is working hard on house training. She’s great with other dogs, cats and children. 6/6/2016
Lady: is about 5 yrs old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter after being picked up as a stray. I’m sure she belonged to someone because she has been shaved and is very sweet and mellow. She is under weight by about 20lbs, dirty and needs to be vaccinated, spayed, and micro chipped which will all be done in a week’s time. Lady is OK with other dogs and rides great in the car but she is a little shy at first but warms up within minutes. We do recommend obedience training which helps the bonding process. 6/1/2016
Molly: is 9yr old smooth coat female that was released to us after her owner passed. She actually was adopted by us 8yr ago and when her owner passed the person in charge of his estate called us and we went right away to get her. Molly is a sweet girl that has lots of years left, loves belly rubs, walks, going to the dog park or just hanging out next to her humans. She loves ice cubs and playing ball but when she is tried of playing she takes her ball in the house and lays down for a nap. Molly is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and house trained. 6/1/2016

She is a little under weight, dirty and needs to be vaccinated, spayed, and micro chipped which will all be done in a weeks time. Annabelle is a sweet pup that loves attention, belly rubs, well with other dogs, and rides great in the car. Being that she is young and has no manners she will require obedience training.6/1/2016
Malli: is a 5 year old Saint Bernard/Lab mix, weighing in at 120 pounds (but thinks she is a Chihuahua!) She will be your best friend, and loves to be loved, but also content to just hang out. Great with other dogs of all sizes, and I’m told she is good with cats as well (she lived with one). I was told she jumps up so small children are probably not a good idea, but she is very gentle and could be trained to not jump. Her foster mama said Malli did great last night (her first night here), slept through the night, didn’t make a peep, and also does well in a crate. She is submissive to her person and very eager to please. 6/1/2016
MAX: Meet Max! He is a 5 year old Saint Bernard/Golden Retriever mix. His owner surrendered him and his brother, Oso, because they barked too much, but they were left outside, chained up all the time, so they were bored and unhappy and wanted everyone to know it. Max is good with other dogs and kids, but not cats. Max is not neutered yet, but will be soon! I am unsure if he is house trained, since he has been an outdoor only dog. 5/31/2016
Seamus: He is a 6 yr. long hair male Saint. Very friendly, loves people, and gives a paw. He is friendly with other dogs, BUT NO CATS!! is prone to Ear infections, so ear cleaning is a must. We are told he likes water.5/25/2016
Penelope: My name is Penelope. I was picked up as a stray over in central Illinois. However the animal control does know that I did have an owner at one time. They didn’t care enough about me to keep me safe and out of harms way and therefore I was picked up by animal control several times. So now I am safe with Illinois St. Bernard rescue. I have been spayed and up-to-date on vaccines . I ride well in a car I don’t really care about cats however I will need to be with children that are older due to the fact that I am extremely active. I will require basic obedience. As I have little to no manners but I am working on them. I love people and require a lot of attention as I have been love starved for so long. Can you be my forever family? Will you love me until the end of time and never let me run and end up as a stray again? I am a great girl who just wants to be loved I am roughly between 3-4 years old.5/22/2016
TUCKER: MEET TUCKER What can I say. This boy is an awesome dog. He loves everyone he meets including dogs. His foster family says if they did’t not already have 3 they would keep him. He is 18 month old rough coated Saint boy. He is current on vaccines and neutered. He like to go for walks and snuggle on the couch. Tucker is a great find and was given up because he was gross, and to big. 5/15/2016

He is neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped.5/15/2016
Becca: is a super sweet 5 year old. We will let her foster mom tell you about her – “She’s a cuddle bug, LOVES to be brushed, loves belly rubs, loves car rides, loves to be bathed, loves walks, loves to hang out by your side, loves the water, loves other dogs…she’s pretty perfect”. The rescue thinks she is pretty perfect too. 5/15/2016
Hogan: is 2-3yr old rough coat male that we pulled from a local shelter after he was dumped out on the streets to fend for himself. When we picked him up he was very dirty, matted, and under weight by about 30lbs. Hogan is in a foster home with 3 other saints and per his foster dad he is a sweet happy boy but he deserves a family of his own. He is neutered, current on all her vaccinations, micro chipped, and rides great in the car.5/11/2016
Georgia: is 18 month old rough coat female that was released to us by her owner. She is a sweet mellow girl that loves attention, long walks, car rides, going to the dog park, or just hanging out with you. Grasso: Hi! My name is Grasso (pronounce GRAA SOOO). I am three years old and my hair is long and I am a boy. I live with three kids in a family in the city; I have never lived in the country so I would prefer to keep it that way- My family now loves me a lot, but they just don’t know what to do with me so they think it would be best if there were someone with more time to work with me. I have been told I need to learn “manners” whatever that is! It would be best for me to be around older kids because I am STRONG and I like to play a LOT so someone who has experience with training a goofy guy like me and older kids would be best. I need someone who knows how to be a pack leader; I want to do the right thing, but when there are goodies on the counter, how am I supposed to know they aren’t mine unless someone teaches me? Do you have patience, time and the energy for a guy like me? 5/11/2016
ZORA: Zora is an 8 month old Saint Bernard mix. Good with other dogs, but a bit dominant. She will need training as she is a big girl and needs some manners. Very sweet and loving. Said to be good with chickens and cats. 5/10/2016

GUS:GUS IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! He is a very playful dog who would do best in a home with another dog that he can play with and learn from. Gus needs a little work on socialization with people and dogs. A group obedience class would be a great start on that! Gus is a 1 year old Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees, and sweet as pie! He is 147 pounds, a little overweight, but with regular exercise will lose those few extra pounds. 5/10/2016
STAR: Star’s owners moved away and left her behind. Luckily, an amazing woman contacted us about her and Star is now in a foster home and doing very well! She is quite the velcro dog, clinging to whoever shows her attention. She is scared of things, like the ceiling fan. The picture of her hiding behind the chair is right after she saw the fan and got scared and hid. But she is coming around and very loving! Star is almost 2 years old and weighs 114 pounds. Great with other dogs, older kids and is scared of cats! 5/10/2016
Cash: is a very sweet boy. He loves to run and play but also loves to lay on your lap and cuddle. He’s smart and learns very quickly. He loves to please. Cash loves everyone. Gets along great with kids. Will get along with most dogs but has to be introduced slowly. He does not do well with cats. He will make a great family member. Cash is neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for heartworms. He is being fostered in the Austin area. He came into the rescue program along with the saint, Grace. 5/4/2016
Holly: Craigslist is the worse place for a dog to end up. But in Hollys case it was the best. A fellow Saint lover stepped up and brought her to safety at ISBR. (Holly thanks you Joe). Holly is 5 years old. House trained and loving her new life. She loves her walks and will be introduced to dogs soon. We were told she is good with other dogs but we will temp test her for ourselves. Would you like to give Holly a forever home? Out adoptable dogs MUST live as house dogs and in a fenced yard where one can be in place. We also accept invisible fencing installed professionally. Dogs must maintain heartworm prevent monthly for their lives. 4/27/2016

Annabelle: Look at that face. Sweetest kindness face you could imagine. Annabelle was taken in as a stray with Abner. She is roughly 5-6 years old. She came in with some medical problems but nothing serious and ISBR is getting her all fixed up. She won’t be available for adoption for a few weeks but what a great dog she will be for the lucky who gets to be her forever home. She is house trained, great with dogs, and everyone she meets. She loves to go for walks and sleep in the bed with her foster home. Do you love her face as much as we do? 4/23/2016
Bernie: is a sweet, friendly 8.5 year old boy who was adopted in 2010 and is back in our Rescue because of family health issues. Bernie gets along with other dogs. He likes short walks, and meeting new people! If you have a special place in your heart for a senior Saint, please consider adopting Bernie. Feel the 4/21/2016
Bernard: is a 5 year old male boy who came to rescue when his male owner passed away and the wife was unable to keep him any longer. In his new foster home he follows the husband around exclusively and is very much attached but he is learning that both parents are to be respected. When Bernard meets other dogs he sounds ferocious, but it is all bark and no bite and he has been living in a multiple dogs home- He is fine with cats but he is so big, it would be best he not be around very small children or small dogs due to his exuberance and size. He does great with other dogs, but due to his deep connection with a male owner, it would be great to be the only dog or a small pack. Whoever takes on Bernard will have a friend for life as he is very loyal, sweet and affectionate. If you have room in your pack for this big sweetie, please fill out an application. He is currently in foster in the Salem, Oregon area and as of 3/14/2016 we need to get him placed as soon as possible because they cannot keep him for much longer. 4/19/2016
is an adult female short hair, and like most rescues has had a rough life but in typical Saint Fashion, she has bounced back amazingly! Eloise has a personality that everyone will fall in love with! Will you give Eloise a chance to win your heart? Eloise likes to be in charge and wants your affection all to herself so a single dog family would be best for her or a slow intro with a male if you are willing to be patient to make it work. Spayed and up to date on shots. 4/19/2016
Baby: is the sweetest girl. The shelter listed her as being three years old but we feel she is more like five years old. Baby loves all people, cats, dogs and even rabbits. She likes her walks and especially loves from you. 4/14/2016
Willow: Also affectionately known as Chunky Monkey is a beautiful 14 month old female. She previously lived with a cat and a male dog. She can’t live with a female dog and she liked the cat but if it ran, she would give pursuit. Willow’s favorite things to do are hanging out in water and playing, playing and more playing and of course getting loves. 4/14/2016
Kimbo: is a very handsome and very tall four year old male. He is very sweet, loving and has a great personality. He likes other dogs. Above all things, Kimbo likes to be close to you.4/14/2016
FERGUSON: is an amazingly sweet, mellow 5 year old Saint Bernard/Landseer mix weighing in at 130 pounds. Unfortunately he was under the care of some owners who didn’t take very good care of him and let him get to this point, missing half of his hair, yeast infections, extremely severe ear infections, belly skin hanging down like a mama dog that’s been nursing for weeks, lethargic and mild muscle atrophy. Luckily they surrendered him and we scooped him up, immediately taking him to our vet. Turns out he is just hypothyroid, which means his thyroid isn’t working properly. He has now been in our care for 2 weeks and is perky, alert, his skin is soft and he is feeling so much better! His ears are also much better. Ferguson has a little ways to go, but his hair will grow back and he will be back to normal in no time! Ferguson is great with other dogs, cats, kids and loves everyone. He enjoys sun bathing, and short walks…maybe working up to longer walks as he feels better. Ferguson will need thyroid medication probably for life, but it is inexpensive and easy to administer. 4/12/2016
ROCKY: Rocky is a 6 month old, deaf Bulldog. He is high energy, very loving and great with other dogs! 4/12/2016
Piper: Meet Piper! This sweet smooth coated Saint of 3 years old had an unfortunate loss of her beloved owner. Piper was placed in the owners brothers home when no one else would take her. However with their busily lives Piper was being left behind. She is sibmissive to other dogs and loves to be loved. She is wanting a permanent home of her own. Her adoption fee is $350. We do require a fenced yard or invisible fence professionally installed. All of our dogs MUST live as house dogs and maintain heartworm prevention year round for life. 4/10/2016
LOKI: is a 5 year old GORGEOUS, sweet, loving, goofy Saint Bernard. He will lay at your feet, chew on bones, and be perfectly content. He would enjoy another dog to play with, but not too small as he can get a little rough…no kitties either…they are way too fun! He really is just a big giant baby, that is curious about everything and wants to be involved in everything you do. Someone that works from home, or is retired, or even someone that could take him to work would be ideal as this guy loves to be with his people. He has gone to doggy daycare and done amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this boy. We will be beyond picky, so please be prepared to answer many questions. All animals in the home must be fixed. A fenced back yard is a must. 4/5/2016
Teddy: is a happy, friendly one year old male St. Bernard who is very playful and enjoys playing with other dogs. He does need training to be better on a leash and to learn not to jump up on people. Teddy does enjoys car rides and running like the wind! He would love an active lifestyle. 3/29/2016
Jake: We thought this handsome, sweet boy had a home but they decided they wanted a puppy. Jake moved to Las Vegas from central valley, CA with his family. However, they can no longer keep him because of housing issues. Jake has been around children and knows his basic commands, as well. 3/29/2016
Mishka: is a lovable and playful 6 year old female. She adores children, gets along with other dogs and cats. She’s fully trained, but still needs a bit of work on the leash as her previous owner had multiple surgeries that kept her from being able to walk her. She tends to be a little protective once she’s bonded to a family, but is gentle giant as all saints are. She loves to hang out in the yard and get cuddled whenever you’re willing and will even keep you warm as she’s happy to sit on your lap!3/29/2016
Cinco: is one of eight Saints that came to us when Animal Control shut a breeder down. Like all the others he is under weight and was not sure about all the new things he was seeing. When he came to us he went straight to the Vets to get neutered and start his heart worm treatment. Now he is on the mend and has learned that a couch sure beats the kennel he was in. Cinco is gaining weigh nicely and fit into his foster home very quickly. So if you are looking for a happy playful two year old Saint that will be just happy to be with you than here he is. 3/29/2016
LIAM: Liam is an incredibly handsome, 2 year old, long-haired, male Saint Bernard. He was brought to the shelter as a stray, and although the owners were found, they did not come to claim him. We are happy about that because poor Liam is starving! He only weighs 82.2 pounds right now and could easily gain another 25-30. He has some vision loss, and is even possibly blind in his right eye, but that doesn’t stop this guy one bit! He is so loving and sweet and energetic. He is currently in isolation at the vet due to Giardia and an upper respiratory infection, but once that is cleared up, he will be raring to go! He has done great with other dogs, and appears to like just about anyone, unless you are a vet trying to stick him with needles and take his temperature….but hey, no one really likes that, right? Better pictures will be posted once he is out of isolation. 3/29/2016
Toby: This is Toby. He is a 6 year old neutered male Saint/Lab mix. Toby is new to rescue so we are still learning about him. He is very friendly with the resident dogs and is quiet. He likes everyone he meets. Toby has been around kids ages 7 and older without incident. He likes walks and car rides and was very good for his bath. The former owner said Toby ignored her cats. He is currently being fostered in the Portland area. Do you have a place in your heart for this beautiful boy? 3/28/2016
CHLOE: Meet the new kid on the block, Chloe! She is an 11 month old Great Pyrenees mix and sweet as pie! Chloe does great with dogs, cats and kids! She is also house trained and knows some commands already. 3/22/2016
Jake: Meet Jake! Jake is a gorgeous Akbash. He is about 2 years old, loves people, shy at first but warms up fast, loves to fetch, , barks to let you know someone or something is there but not excessive, good with other animals just not chickens. He is not mean to them, he loves to play with them, until they do not play anymore 🙁 Jake has never drawn blood or been vicious with them, he just wants to play and he is a bit rough in his play for a chicken anyway. He just wants to be loved, could be a pet or a LGD, must have another dog as companion. He is such a good boy and needs a home that will be good to him. 3/20/2016
Mickey: came from the Tucson shelter and was listed as a Great Pyrenees mix. We aren’t positive what Mickey is but we do know he is a love. He was on the e-list due to his owners wanting him put down because of his eye. He was attacked by another dog when he was a puppy and now he is blind in the one eye. Mickey is still considered a young guy at 15 months old and being blind in the one eye doesn’t cause him any trouble. He loves people of all ages and gets along great with other dogs. He recently attended an adoption event and he was a big hit with everyone, giving loves and greeting all the other dogs.3/17/2016
Shelly: is estimated to be three years old. She is a quieter girl who would make a good companion for any age. She likes people of all ages and gets along with other dogs. She recently spent the day at an adoption event where hundreds of people and dogs of all kinds show up and she was great with everyone.3/17/2016
Boris: is a two year Saint that ended up on a chain outside at the parents of his previous owner. What he got from that is heart worms and very little training. Since he has come into our rescue we are working on both of these issues. He is learning that he cannot push his way around to get what he wants. He does walk well on a leash but needs training on how to meet other people and dogs properly. On the plus side he does ignore the cat in the foster home. He weighs in at 135 lbs and is underweight. So with his size and attitude he needs to continue his training means he cannot go into a first time big dog house. The requirements for adopting him are past giant dog ownership, fenced in yard (he is still very puppyish and needs to burn energy) and the ability to continue his training so you can handle a big boy like him. Being able to do this what you get in return is a great addition to your home and friend for life. 3/17/2016
Kora: is a quite soul who happens to be 5 years old and 55 lbs.
She came in with 7 other Saints when a breeder was shut down. She is very friendly but just not sure about new things, but with a little time she is coming out of her shell and is turning into a complete love bug. So if you have some space in your heart and your home and just happen to be looking for a new shadow than her she is. 3/17/2016
Moose: is 4 yr old smooth coat male that was released to us by his owner because they have to move and can no longer keep him. He is a sweet boy that loves everybody, house trained, and is good with other dogs. Moose loves to hang out with the family, go for rides in the car, or go to the lake or ocean to play in the water but not sure of deep pools. He is vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped. 3/14/2016
Duke:is a 5 yr old rough coat male that we rescued along with his sister Daisy from their owner who could no longer take care of them. He is a big sweet boy that loves everybody but would prefer to be the only dog in the home because he is getting older and wants all the attention for himself. Duke is vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped. Even though he is big he is a mellow boy that likes car rides, walks, or just hanging out with his family. 3/8/2016
Maverick: is estimated to be about 3 months old. He is possibly a Saint/Heeler/Cattle dog mix of some sort. Very cute and sweet! Maverick is working on his housebreaking and obedience skills. He likes to play with other dogs, and will be a great addition to an active family. He is being fostered in the Houston, TX area. 3/5/2016
Elsa: she is a Great Dane / German Shepherd mix who is one year old. Elsa is very friendly bundle of energy. She does need obedience training as she does not meet other dogs very well and plays very rough with dogs smaller than her. She is very respectful of dogs bigger than her (she no dummy). With a little work she will be at your side for the rest of her life. 2/25/2016
Tucker: Hello I am Tucker. I am 8 year old very low energy and love everyone cats kids dogs you name it. If you are looking for a lazy new friend let me know. 2/25/2016
Roman: is one of eight Saints that came to us when Animal Control shat a breeder down. Like all the others he is under weight and was not sure about all the new things he was seeing. When he came to us he went straight to the Vets to get neutered and start his heart worm treatment. Now he is on the mend and has learned that a couch sure beats the kennel he was in. Roman is gaining weigh nicely and fit into his foster home very quickly. So if you are looking for a mature Saint that will be just happy to be with you than here he is. 2/25/2016
Rosalie: is a loving girl looking for a lasting relationship.
Rosalie is 3 years old and 145 lbs. She is looking to take long walks on the beach and have quite times watching TV with her special someone. 2/22/2016
Riley: is an 9 month old Saint mix puppy with a lot of energy.
He has never meet a stranger and is always looking for a good time. So if you have a fenced yard and time to train him you will have a friend for life. 2/22/2016
PATCHES: is an 8 year old longhair female with the absolute best smile! She lived most of her life outside before coming to the rescue, but has discovered she loves couches and shower stalls. She also thinks that vacuum cleaners are to play with! Patches knows many commands like stay, wait, go potty, good girl, breakfast, lunch, dinner and sit. She is very good at letting you know if she needs to go potty too by standing at the door, sometimes barking, prancing and whining. She is incredibly smart so you could probably teach her to use a bell. Patches also absolutely ADORES car rides and will take off running towards the car if she sees it. She does need some work on her leash skills, but does great with a prong collar. Patches loves being brushed as well…what girl doesn’t enjoy being pampered? She does well when meeting new people, but she does not do well with other dogs or small creatures, so it’s best if she is the only animal….center of attention, ya know how a princess can be. If you can let her be your only fur baby, she will reward you a million times over with smiles, kisses and cuddles! 2/22/2016
Agnes: This sweet girl is roughly 9-10 months old. She is house trained and loves other dogs. Good with cats and kids she loves being a house dog. She was a stray and landed in a high kill shelter in Chicagoland. She will require basic obedience once she is adopted. 2/19/2016
Lola: is a smooth coat female that has just turned 3 years old. Her family loved her but unfortunately they had more dogs in their household than the city allowed. Lola is very sweet and loves to be around you all the time. She is well behaved in the house and does not need to be crated. Lola will whine when she needs to go outside to do her business. As sweet as Lola is she does not have much confidence in herself and is not good with other dogs and strangers. She is also food aggressive with other animals so she needs to be the only dog in the household. Her lack of confidence shows when she meets strangers. Lola will bark a lot and the hair will stand up on her back. Once she is allowed to sniff the company she is fine with them. Lola does not get away with that behavior in my home but will take advantage of an inexperience person. 2/12/2016
Bubba: Bubba is a shorthaired male that just turned 2 years old. He loves to play with you for as long as you want and is not one to turn down treats. He spent the first part of his life left and ignored in the backyard…because of this, he is starving for attention and love. One of our members had him in there home for several days and said he was very well mannered, didn’t chew up anything and only needed to be shown the doggy door routine a couple times before he got the hang of it. Bubba loves children too. They had their grandkids over, ages one and up and he was very gentle and loving with them. He did think their cats were little play toys that moved, so no cats for Bubba. 2/10/2016
Winston: or Sir Winston as he is known at the rescue is a handsome 2 year old smooth coat (short hair) saint. He likes other dogs and playing. Sir Winston is a big loveable playful baby who must be placed in an adults only home. The pictures say it all, he is one big handsome saint. 2/10/2016
Miley: is a 1.5-2 year old Saint mix, maybe with Great Pyrenees? She is sweet, loves to snuggle with her family, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Miley is housebroken, and she is spayed. She tested negative for heartworms. Miley is a smaller than normal Saint, only weighing about 80 lbs. She was found as a stray-just wandered up on someone’s porch and never left. She would also love a family to call her own! She is being fostered in the Houston, TX area. 2/10/2016
Shelby: One of Sophie’s puppies. Estimated to be about 3 months old as of the beginning of November. 1/2 Saint, and 1/2 black dog blend of some sort! Cute and playful! 2/10/2016
Maddie: is a 1 ½ yr old rough coat female that we rescued from a local shelter after her owners dumped her there. When we picked her up she was very skinny, missing patches of hair due to fleas and has kennel cough. She is on medication for the kennel cough, good food and lots of medicated baths to make her feel better. Maddie is a sweet pup that loves attention, belly rubs, good with other dogs big or small, and rides great in the car. She is vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. Now all Maddie needs is her forever home and lots of love. 2/8/2016
Nikos: is 1-2yr old rough coat male that we pulled from a local shelter after he was picked up as a stray. When we picked him up he was very dirty, matted, and under weight. Nikos is neutered, current on all her vaccinations, micro chipped, but being he is a young boy we do recommend obedience training. He is a sweet boy that is very playful so only older children because he doesn’t know how big he is or will be. 2/8/2016
Louise: Sweet 2 year old. Loves other dogs. House trained good with cats and kids. Is very vocal and loves to talk. This gal was free off of craigslist from her owner just throwing her away. ISBR had a volunteer see her and swept in to save the day for Louise. 2/7/2016

Lacey: is a four year old Bloodhound who is spayed up to date on all shots, heart worm negative and house broken. Lacey came to us from a breeder who is getting out of the business and re-homing all is dogs. Lacey is very friendly and outgoing she is looking for a new best friend so she can sit in their lap and be petted. She is 97 lbs but she could lose a little she would be good at 85-90 lbs. 2/2/2016

Bruno-2: he is a Saint Bernard / Great Dane mix. Bruno-2 weighs is at 115 lbs and is 5 to 6 years old who is looking for a new best friend. He loves people and does not mind other dogs. As for cats he seem to be very interested in and we are not sure if that is a good thing or not. 2/2/2016
GEGE: GeGe is a gorgeous 2 year old Great Dane mix and such a love! She is mostly black with beautiful merle markings. GeGe was adopted, but her family is returning her with a broken heart because she just plays too rough with their small dog and they are afraid something will happen. GeGe does have some separation anxiety and will do best with a family that is home a lot or even a retired couple that can take her with them on their travels. Although she is a little wary of men initially, she warms up quickly! We don’t know what this girl has been through in her life, but we are going to make sure the rest of it is wonderful! 2/1/2016
Sarge: Meet Sarge! This cutie pie is an 11 month old Mastiff/Lab/Dane mix and all puppy! He is high energy and LOVES to play! In fact, a home with another dog for him to play with is preferable. He is great with dogs and cats and kids, but older kids are better because he is very clumsy and can (and has) knock over a small child easily. He also has a crazy wagging tail that can whip a kid very easy. In fact, his tail is wrapped right now because he has such happy tail that he busted it open. Sarge is mostly house trained, but will need someone to be consistent with him. A fenced yard is a must for Sarge as he does not potty on leash, therefore then having accidents in the house. Sarge knows many commands and walks pretty well on leash! Continued training with this guy would be great as well. Sarge is neutered, up to date on his shots, microchipped and heartworm tested. He is ready to go today! 2/1/2016
Barry: is a 3 yo neutered male rough coat. He was dumped at a shelter in Lee Co AL by his ‘owners’ who said he was ‘acting weird’ around their female dog who was in heat. This was before he was neutered. Smiles. Some very kind volunteers at that shelter contacted me and got him to me. This guy is a big love bug. A sit on your feet kinda dog. As the picture shows he is fine w/ cats. He gets along well with other dogs. Please help Barry find his home.1/29/2016

CHANCE: EXPERIENCED SAINT BERNARD OWNERS ONLY! CHANCE is available for adoption. Chance can be a bit of a bully with people he thinks are weak, so we are only going to adopt this boy to a home with no children and no frequent visitors. An ideal home would be in the country, with room to run and roam, and a single person or a couple with no children. Chance does not make a great first impression, but he will warm up and become very loving once he knows you. At only 1 1/2, he is just a baby. He has had professional training and has come a really long ways. He really is a great dog, he just needs the right kind of home to allow him to be comfortable and learn to trust. If you are interested in giving this boy a loving, forever home, and are willing to be patient with him and allow him to learn your routine. 1/15/2016

You see I was dropped of at a shelter and I weighed only 92 lbs and was heart worm positive.
Well I move to North Carolina I found some nice people who are fatting me up and they fixed my heart worm problem. So now I am looking for a new best friend. 1/4/2016
Sophie: is an 8 month old purebred Saint Bernard who is being returned to the breeder for being a typical teenager…She is apparently quite stubborn and is jumping up and not listening…HOWEVER, there are so many things that can easily remedy these things, it’s unfortunate the owner won’t try. But their loss is your gain. Sophie is a gorgeous girl and is house trained, and very loving. At 8 months old, she is still very much puppy like and will need an owner who is willing to be patient to get her out of the puppy phase. Obedience training will be a must with this girl. 1/3/2016
