Heidi: is a 2.5 year old female Saint Bernard. Not only is she pretty but she is also a very affectionate and well-mannered too. Heidi has a wonderful auburn tint to her dark markings. She is a playful girl, easy to walk on a leash and is working on her basic commands. Heidi would love to make her forever home at your place. 12/30/2013
Bertha: is 18 months old and what a beauty she is. Bertha is affectionate, playful and has a big personality. She likes other dogs and loves people of all ages. She goes to our adoption events where 300 people – adults, children and other dogs come by to visit and Bertha is a champ, she does great with everyone. 12/30/2013
Friday: LOVES water took the water picture right after he came into the rescue and he headed straight for the water. He is two years old, lived with a 7 year old boy, two cats and liked going to the little boys soccer games to root him on. Friday dances and jumps around and barks when he is happy and being playful. Just think, if you adopt him, it will always be Friday at your home. 12/30/2013
Naomi: Hello my name is Naomi I am a leaner", leans in toward people she loves petting her a very loving and loyal girl! She has been living on a couple of acres with chickens and with room to run around, though she’s also accustomed to her big soft bed in the living room. She has adapted to being with other dogs before (my previous mom has fostered several small and medium sized dogs that came onto her land), though she can get jealous and would probably prefer to be the queen of a one dog household with lots of attention. She prefers not to be around very young loud children. When they come into the room she leaves and will not get into the car if they are in their child seat. 12/29/2013
Sophie: Okay I am not a Saint but I am so cute, so do tell anyone. My name is Sophie a 10 month old bundle of energy. She is very smart; crate trained and thinks cat should play with her as a matter of fact she thinks everyone and everything should play with her. She is great with older children but has too much energy to be around the toddler in the house. She walks well on the leash but just needs an active home to burn all of the energy she has. If you are looking for a smart playful girl to help you stay active she is the one. Sophie is a Boston Terrie / Chihuahua mix born on March 28th 2013, spayed and current on all vaccines and is just too cute. 12/29/2013
Pasha: is a four year old, short hair, female Saint Bernard. She weighs 135 pounds. She has been spayed, micro-chipped, and is up to date on her shots. She is heart worm negative. Pasha just turned four this month. She was used for breeding by her previous owner, and has had multiple litters of puppies. She was turned into the local animal shelter when her owner passed away. She was rescued from the shelter, and is now in a foster home. Pasha gets along with people of all ages, and is very friendly and playful. She is a dominant female however, and does not do well around other large dogs. She seems to be fine with smaller dogs and puppies. We do not know how she is around cats. Pasha knows some basic commands, sit, stay, down, but would benefit from some obedience training. Pasha is a very sweet, good looking dog with a lot of love to give. 12/27/2013
TOBIN: is a 5 year old rough coat, neutered male. He was placed by us two years ago, but now the family is moving and has asked us to help re – home him and his lovely house mate, Gracie. He is the typical Saint, sleeps, snores, and loves attention (especially tummy rubs and rump scratches). He is gentle and affectionate, sleeps beside the bed at night and is well housebroken. He has become protective of the home and yard, but makes friends with visitors when introduced. He gets along well with our other dogs and the cat. He is not fond of yippee little dogs who get in his face (who is?) and if possible we would love for him to go with Gracie. 12/27/2013
Hillary: is the sweetest Saint Bernard we have ever had in our Rescue. She is a loving and extremely affectionate 3 year old. She does well with cats, other dogs and has been around children and shows no aggression. She thinks she is a lap dog and wants nothing but love and affection. She also plays with her other 4 legged friends that live with her. We need a foster and a permanent home now. Due to a medical emergency in the family, Hillary cannot be walked or cared for properly and needs a loving foster and/or forever home as soon as possible. Hillary wants nothing more than loads of children (2 legged and 4) to romp in the yard with and play. Hillary was found as a stray and is underweight and needs good nutrition and someone to care for her health. She is worth it if you want a great dog with no issues except needing to be fattened up. If you have a busy, loving home and are interested in a great family dog, Hillary is the one. 12/24/2013
Gretta: is a 3-4 year old female Saint. She is very underweight (only about 88lbs), but is eating well and gaining quickly. Gretta is housebroken, and lives peaceably among both large and small breed dogs. Gretta has been vaccinated, and tested negative for heartworms, although she did test positive for a tick-borne disease and is currently taking antibiotics for that, as well as for a couple of lumps on her back and shoulder. We think that Gretta has already been spayed, and she should be available for adoption once she finishes her course of antibiotics. 12/22/2013
Pogo: Hi! My name is Pogo and I’m a 9 week old St. Bernard puppy. Me and my brothers and sisters were taken to the shelter a few weeks ago. That place wasn’t very pleasant but luckily the shelter people reached out to a rescue in Dallas. The Dallas rescue drove all the way to Conroe and gladly took all my brothers and sisters. I just couldn’t understand why I was left behind, but I soon realized it was because I am handicapped and have a bad back leg. I cried and cried not understanding how I couldn’t be just as lovable as my siblings, but then the nice lady with Luck & Legends Saint Bernard Rescue and my new foster mommy showed up to save me! From there I was taken to a doctor, and since then have seen a few more doctors. After looking at what they call x-rays, they determined that the growth plates in my knee never closed yet, I have some nerve damage, which has caused me to be lame-my leg sticks straight out to the side. One doctor said they would need to amputate (that means I would only have 3 legs, yelp!!!), but another said we might could save it, though we don’t know yet what next steps will be, except that I now have to go see a special doctor called an orthopedic, and mommy says it will be expensive. Well things are certainly looking up for me, and my foster mommy even realized that I kept running into everything and couldn’t find her when she called me. I don’t understand because I’ve been bumping into things since I was able to walk. While at the doctor’s they did some eye tests on me and concluded that I am also totally blind. I wish I could see the beautiful world, but I’m just happy to be alive, with plenty to eat, lots of toys and getting all kinds of love and attention from everyone who meets me. They all say they love me cuz I’m so dang cute, EVEN WITH MY HANDICAPS! You can see for yourself just how cute I am, cuz I’m in the attached picture at my new foster home. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my story and please pray for me and other puppies like me who need special love and care. And if you find it in your heart/pocketbook to donate money to help with my medical needs I will give you a big wet puppy-breath kiss! Donations can be made online @ the website; www.saintrescuetx.org. I will sure keep you posted on my progress….ruff ruff! 12/22/2013
Beatrix: is a 2 yo Spayed female rough coat. Her owner’s job requirements changed so he was rarely home. She’s a big puppy and very sweet. 12/22/2013
Beethoven: (TX) Male Saint Bernard, almost 2 years old. He is good with kids, does not like male dogs or cats but is fine with female dogs. He has been neutered. He is healthy but sometimes he has a problem with his ear so he has to have ear drops. He has been to a vet for it in the past. He is house trained and must live inside as he does not do well in the heat. He is very beautiful and is a great dog. He is a large dog and requires maintenance, like grooming and etc. 12/21/2013
Maggie: is a gorgeous 2 year old Blue Great Dane. She was adopted to a wonderful family and became very attached to their teenage girl. When a boy went to kiss her Maggie snapped at him so they returned her to us. She really is a very sweet and loving dog and deserves a home with people as wonderful as she is. 12/19/2013
Yoshi: is 7 month old rough coat male that was released to us by his owner because she had to move to home that doesn’t allow dogs. He is a handsome boy that’s very sweet and loveable that knows his basic commands both in English and Spanish. Yoshi loves to meet everybody and he is good with other dogs. He is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, rides great in the car, is house trained, and would love to go on walks with his forever family. He is still a pup with spurts of energy so wee do recommend continued obedience training. 12/18/2013
Destiny: came in feeling as yucky as she smelled and looked. She was anemic, had an infection, is about 15 pounds underweight and was dirty. She lived in a cellar without attention. She was so afraid she wouldn’t move when you came near her. After going to the vet, getting medication, eating on a regular basis and learning that people really do love you and like to pet and give kisses she is a different dog. She now walks on a leash daily, loves eating, getting love from any person that will give it and is learning that other dogs are playmates not breeding mates. She is crate trained and learning that the house is not her potty area. She does like to escape from the crate in the middle of the night if she wants to be by you. She is learning house manners and is starting some obedience training. I think she will be a great dog. She was afraid of birds flying over us but is ok with it now, and she LOVES to chase squirrels. So a home without cats would probably be best. 12/17/2013
Greta: This very sweet girl is just over 2 years old. This rescue and Greta go back along way. We got Greta’s mother and father in rescue in the Spring of 2011. Greta’s mother Belle was already pregnant with a litter of puppies. She gave birth shortly after we got her. Greta and her brothers and sisters were adopted out. Greta has been returned to us. We are happy to have her and are interested in finding her a new home where she will be able to make it her own. Now a little bit about this special girl. She is very loyal, and eager to please her owner. She loves activity, and would benefit from regular exercise. She likes car rides and loves to be hugged. As you can see she is a Saint Bernard/Hound mix. She is too smart for her own good. She would love a new owner who is active and would train her in obedience work. She is ideal for a family that is active with their dog. When we say active, we do NOT mean hyper, out of control, or unruly. She is calm and sweet, however some dogs like a job it keeps their smart minds busy. She is a perfect lady in every sense. She has lovely house manners and enjoys the family life. She is good with most other dogs, especially males. She is gentle and lovely to have around. We would say she is the nicest dog we have in our rescue. 12/17/2013
Petey: This handsome boy is about 18-24 months old. He is a sweet saint who needs a leader, as he is a big boy. He is very active and needs regular exercise and will need a home that can handle a big rambunctious Saint Bernard. He is still very much a puppy at heart, but make no mistake he is a joy to have around. He is looking for a best friend, and due to his size would prefer a home with no children. Please call us so we can help you get a new buddy. Also loves car rides and will work hard for a treat. Update; 7/18/2013 Petey is a big lovable puppy with a big head. He loves attention and can not stand the heat. He is learning to be with other dogs. He is a vey much a puppy and needs leadership in his new home. He is a large boy and still has growing to do. He is a wonderful car rider and loves treats. He is prime candidate for a new home where he can get the leadership, socialization, and companionship so he can be everything a Saint Bernard can be. He is 18 months old. He will make someone a super companion. 12/17/2013
Haus: is approximately 22 months a puppy by Saint Standards. He is a big boy and is a talker. He has growing to do and loves his regular groceries a few times a day. Loves car rides and really wants a buddy. He needs someone who can give him the leadership to be the best dog on the block. Good with kids we prefer older kids as he like to play rough. A very nice Boy and we want him to have a super home. 12/17/2013
Bernard: is a 9 year old Saint that came to Mid-Atlantic from the shelter that his owners took him to because they no longer had the time for him. He is very well behaved and is good with children of all ages and other animals. Bernard is great on his leash, knows basic commands (come, sit, lay, and paw), is fully house broken, does fine at home alone without being crated and loves car rides. You will need a large car for those rides because he weighs in at close to 180 pounds. Bernard is heartworm negative, is up to date on all shots, has been de-wormed and is in great health. All he needs is a forever home that will be as devoted to him as he will be to you. 12/17/2013
Daisy: is approximately 150 pound saint Bernard. Approximately 5 years old, and has been spade. She has been with her current owner since she was 3 months old. She is up to date on all shots and vaccines. Vet records can be provided. She is a very healthy and happy mature Saint. She has been around cats and other dogs, and young children her whole life. She needs a new home due to the illness of her owner. Daisy currently resides in Harrington, Delaware. She would be great for a family who wants a loving mature gal roaming the halls and lying by your feet for belly rubs and sweet words of kindness. Daisy deserves a home where she will live out the rest of her days with a loving forever home. 12/14/2013
Lucy: I am Lucy and my family has fallen on bad time and have to give me up. I am four years old and grew up with kids and other dogs. I have a very sensitive tummy and I am allergic to chicken and have to have a special diet. Otherwise, I am a ball of joy and energy and want to live in a home with kids and a big yard to play in with or without furry siblings too. Do you have room in your home and heart for me? 12/14/2013
Max: is 4 years old. He loves to play outdoors and loves swimming. He is a gentle giant, he loves to let kids jump all over him and loves being around them. He loves going for car rides, he will not jump out of the back of a moving truck. Max is very obedient and loves to play. He thinks he is a lap dog and will sit with his rear end on the couch just like a human. He loves getting belly rubs and is a huge attention hog. He weighs about 180 pounds and is about 3 feet tall standing on all 4 legs. He is a very well behaved dog, he has had some therapy dog training and listens pretty well off the leash. Max loves being out in the country and running through fields. He is a fantastic dog, His heartbroken owner has to surrender him. She is in the military and is being deployed and has currently had to move to a small apartment. Do you have a lot of room in your home for this amazing dog and one of our fighting soldiers? Max is a big boy and although sweet, he must be in a home with big dog experience and have the time to devote to his social, emotional and physical welfare. Pls note that Max will be neutered in a few days. Right now he doesn’t get along very well with other male dogs, but they may change after being neutered and in a home with a NON-alpha male. 12/14/2013
Gracie: This sweet young gal, Gracie was picked up by the SPCA who contacted us to help her out. She is terrific and full of life despite starving on the streets and having a bad cold. Gracie has just finished her medicine and is gaining weight to be spayed. She will be available real soon for a wonderful family who wants to be this spunky girls forever home/family. Gracie has what in the Saint Bernard world call a monk’s cap; which is a big black spot of hair on the top of her head. Some say this is a sign of a blessed pooch; we sure hope so. Even though she’s easy going and very pretty, she has gone after the cats homed in the cages at the shelter. To be on the safe side, she should go to a home without kitties. 12/14/2013
Greta: This very sweet girl is just over 2 years old. This rescue and Greta go back along way. We got Greta’s mother and father in rescue in the Spring of 2011. Let us know if you are interested, she will not disappoint you. 12/14/2013
Archie: This guy is totally vetted. He is not good with small animals but fine with larger dogs. He would be fine with older children. Needs work on a leash; but heels very well (very eager to please). Learning what the world is all about. 12/14/2013
Maximus: This handsome fella is a big cuddler and loves car rides. He is very affectionate but needs to be reminded who the boss is.; he spent a long stay at doggie boot camp learned manners and confidence. He was rescued from a breeder that couldn’t care for him or the female. He is now living with a foster family who love him. 12/14/2013
Loni: is a sweet big 18-month girl. She loves being with people and being part of a family. She knows some basic commands and is eager to please. Loni had a rough past and takes some time to adjust, but once she does, she will be your dearest companion. She likes to play with her foster dog siblings, as well as her foster humans. She does well with kids, but we are not sure about cats, as she has not been exposed to any. 12/11/2013
Robin: is a 3 yo spayed female rough coat. She was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. She’s learning the rules at the Rescata. 12/8/2013
Lilly: is a sweet, loving and cuddly dog. She loves her people! She is healthy 115 pound pup that was well cared for. She needs a new family as her current guardian has passed away. She will do well in a home with older or no children. She is a sweety and yet also likes to be alpha in her home if there are other dogs. She listens to all basic commands (Sit, Up, Down, Stay (for a little while;), and Come.) She loves a good walk on her gentle leader and will stay by your side. She may be inclined to walk you instead of you walking her if she isn’t on a gentle leader leash. We will happily provide the gentle leader with Lilly. You will find a loving, dedicated and loyal companion in Lilly. We are very sad to see her go. 12/5/2013
Charlie: Meet Charlie, a five year old Saint Bernard. Charlie was raised as a child so therefore thinks of himself as a person. He is a clown and wants to be included is all family activities. The phrase, Good Time Charlie, fits him perfectly. His prior owner said he did well at the dog park with other dogs but we saw some aggressiveness towards other males. Other animals in the home need to be introduced slowly. He has never been around cats. Charlie is neutered and up to date on shots. He is a very healthy boy and needs someone that has the time to obedience train and spend the time with him that he requires. He knows the basics – sit, down and will only come if you have a cookie for bribery. He has personality plus. He was not raised with children so only older children will be considered. He has traveled the country extensively, more than most people. Are you the one that will have the time and enjoyment of Charlie? 11/30/2013
Cato: is a very scared 1 1/2 year old boy who just came to rescue. He doesn’t know who to trust or what the heck is going on and will need someone willing to spend some time showing him that humans can be trusted and he will not be discarded by them the way previous owners have. He is fully vetted, neutered and will be UTD on all his shots when adopted. Would you like to meet Cato? 11/30/2013
Lola: is a 3 year old rough coated Saint Bernard female. She was shaved down in the pictures which is why she looks like a smooth coat. She smiles when she is happy and there isn’t anyone she doesn’t like. She loves going for walks and her favorite thing is getting belly rubs. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, knows basic commands and walks pretty well on a leash. She gets along with everyone including small and large dogs and cats. Lola would make a great addition to any family. 11/30/2013
Dopey: is 10 and a half years old. St. Bernard Male, Due to family medical issues beyond his control, Dopey is in search of a new home. His family is tore up over it, and is not taking this lightly, they want to find him a VERY good home! As a puppy he did go through a training course, and will sit for dog treats 😉 He LOVES Beggin Strips and giving big ol’ sloppy St. Bernard kisses. Has never been able to make friends with the cat, but I don’t think he was mean to it. Has done fine with kids, but in his old age is getting some arthritis in his legs and is stiff of a morning, so some days he might be a little grumpy, just from pain. But he’s never had issues before. He’s one big loveable lug! 11/25/2013
Walter: Rescued Walter last week from a shelter in Oklahoma. He is blind in one eye, a little under weight and heart worm positive. His foster Mom says he is such a sweetheart!! 11/25/2013

Harry: is a very playful, young Saint Bernard (about 10 months old). He is very sweet, loves attention, gets along really well with all the other dogs in his foster home, as well as the cats. He is crate trained, and is being house trained. He desperately wants to sleep in bed with his foster, but will settle down on his dog bed. He very hand shy, which makes us believe that he was treated harshly at some point. Harry is scheduled to be neutered soon. 11/25/2013
Bailey: Meet Bailey. This sweet gal was cast out of her home after her owner got new flooring and she put scratches in it with her toenails. ISBR came along and took her in. She is a great dog who loves her crate. She is house trained and loves to go for cars rides. This sweet gal is good with other dogs and fine with cats. Because she is very active for her size we feel that older kids would be a better option for her as she doesn’t know her size. She is good with little kids but would knock them down unintentionally. 11/25/2013
Coco: Coco is a very sweet girl, she loves and craves attention. She is very young maybe a year old, she does not like cats. And needs be socialized with other large dogs. She was kenneled and raised with a very small dog. so small dogs are ok. She needs basic obedience classes as she does pull on a lead. 11/24/2013
Juno: Juno and Charlie are brother and sister. How wonderful it would be if they could be adopted together as a bonded pair; however, with the right loving home, both could live happily ever after on separate paths. She is a delightful clown who needs a home with Saint experience and the time to devote to her. not good with cats. 11/24/2013
Charlie: Look at this giant teddy bear. This wonderful guy needs a loving home. Juno and Charlie are brother and sister. Ozzy: Meet Ozzy, he is a young short haired gentle giant. He is good with cats, other dogs, adults, and children. Although Ozzy likes to run around and play with the neighbors goats scaring them, the neighbor is threatening to shoot Ozzy; so his owners are turning him in for his own protection. Ozzy is a great playful dog that doesn’t understand what is going on, after all he was just playing around and found something close to his size to play with. Ozzy’s adopters will be required to have a fenced in yard, as required with all our Saints. It would be best for Ozzy to go to a home that has the time to devote to him and play with him. Ozzy is a doll with a lot of character and a lot of expressions. Ozzy doesn’t have to talk for you to know what he wants, he is an extraordinary dog. 11/24/2013
Lou: is a gorgeous 4 year old gal. She is very sweet and loving. Gets along immediately with other dogs and cats and adores kids. 11/24/2013

We’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old and has always been with her brother Oakley and sister Sadie. She gets along great with other animals and has been around our cat Ruby since she was 6 weeks. Annie needs a new home because she isn’t tolerant of small children. She prefers older kids and adults to the little ones. She is a chicken when it comes to loud sounds like fireworks or thunder and likes to recruit to the bathroom where she feels safe. She has always had a big fenced in yard to play in and likes to have her freedom to lay around outside. 11/21/2013
Yankee: is a wonderful senior gal who needs a forever home or foster home as soon as possible. Her owner is ill and cannot care for this angel. Would you have any room in your heart for this healthy, happy nine year old lady? 11/21/2013

Also, Bella comes with free lifetime training at the wonderful iCare K9 dog training facility. 11/21/2013
Maggie: Hi I’m Maggie! I am 4 years young and am ready to go to my forever home! I have moved around a lot so I have abandonment issues. It will take some patience and kindness and as you can tell by the look in my eyes I haven’t had much of that these past few years… I am used to being the alpha female so I should not live with any other females, but I don’t mind cats and I am wanting to learn to be a good house dog! I am a lover and just want to be welcomed into a loving family. I am house, and leash trained! If you are willing to take some time with me, I am willing to give you a chance. Will you take a chance on me? 11/20/2013
Missy: is a sweet 6-7 year young lady who came to rescue as many these days; family displaced from their home and unable to keep her. Her mom is just heartbroken about this choice, so she called rescue to ensure we find Missy the best forever home we can get. The foster mom says Missy is AMAZING and is trying hard not to get too attached, but Missy makes that pretty difficult. She lives with a young male saint and a lot of cats. She’s great with kids and acts like a puppy. She is of course spayed and up to date on all her shots. Missy deserves to live out her life with a family who will make her the center of attention ans she will surely make you the center of hers! 11/20/2013

Jake: was picked up running the roads and taken to the local animal shelter where his time was running out. So a foster stepped up and bought him into their house. He is fitting in better every day and has turned into a real leaner when his new dad is around. Jakes would do better in a home with no other animals so he could get all of the attention and be your new best friend. 11/18/2013
Joey: is our All American Boy that is because that is his birth date. Joey loves to run, play, go for walks, hike and hang with his human(s). Joey is 3 years old. 11/15/2013
Tyson: Ty for short, is a beautiful 13 month old shorthaired male. He loves people of all ages, his toys, and boy does he love to play. He loves to run around the play yard with you and he looks so silly because he is still in that gangly puppy stage and his legs are going every which way. He does very well in the house, doesn’t chew anything and will signal you when he needs to go outside. Come meet and play with Tyson for awhile. You won’t be able to resist his charms. 11/15/2013
Dasha: is another one of wonderful senior saints looking for a home. She is very sweet, affectionate, loves to go on walks and is a nice girl on the leash. She likes other dogs and LOVES water. Dasha will make someone a great companion. She is available for adoption or as a permanent foster. Give us a call and we will be glad to explain how our permanent foster program works. 11/15/2013
Lilly: This is Lilly, her former home could no longer care for her. She is approximately 2 years old and is an indoor dog. Lilly has been spayed, microchipped, and received a 1 year rabies vaccine. She had an eyelift to allow her to see better. Lilly is a super sweet, affectionate, good dog. She currently resides with a cat and two Boxers. She would do best in a home with only adults. She is house and crate trained. Her new guardian should be an experienced dog handler who only uses positive training methods. She deserves a home where she will be an integral part of the family. Her new family must be willing to invest the time necessary to teach her manners, take her to classes, and socialize her to become a confident well adjusted canine citizen. Lilly’s new family must be able to care for her by meeting all her mental, physical, and emotional, needs. She is to be loved and respected. She did not have the best start in life but deserves only the best for the rest of her life. 11/9/2013
Izzie B: Welsh Terrier I was in a shelter, had a place to sleep and eat, but it was really scary! Then a lady came and looked at me and took me for a ride in a car, she gave me a bath and took me home. There were 2 HUGE dogs there that wanted to play with me, but I was afraid at first. Black dog is always wanting to play with me but I’m a lot older than he is and can’t play as long. I do like to take walks, ride in the car, play with some toys (obsessed with tennis balls), like any terrier. I also like to sit in your lap and cuddle. I’m looking for a forever home to love me! Don’t overlook me just cause I’m a senior, and I’m deaf. I’ve got lots of love to give! (I can give kisses too!) Spayed/Neutered, Up-to-date with routine shots, House trained, Special Needs, Primary color Red Chestnut or Orange, Coat length Wire Small, Senior, Female. 11/9/2013
Dakota: I am a male 4 going on 5. My family who loves me very much has to move and is unable to take me with them. They want very much to find me a family who can give me the love and support that I want to give back. I love to give paw when ask, I sit and lay down when ask/told also. I wouldn’t hurt a fly and love attention. I love kids and adults the same. With my family now I sometimes sleep with the kids at night if they let me or just sleep on floor beside them. I am house broken and due to my families work schedule, I am home sometimes for long hours and don’t have accidents on the house. They sometimes use a crate for me and sometimes not but I’m ok with either. I am neutered and don’t bark much at all. I am just a big ball of love and that’s all I want to do, is have fun and play and give my love to a family. I know my family loves and wants to keep me but understand they can’t so hoping someone will understand and help. 11/4/2013
Gemma: is a 4 yr old smooth coat saint, which is rare for rescue and desirable. She is a great gal. She get along with dogs, cat and likes children. 11/4/2013
Ruby: Is a big girl who is 155lbs and is 2 years old. She is a very nice girl who is a clown at times. She loves her people and to go visiting in the neighborhood. She is a fence climber and will need to be watched when outside. She is our most social Saint Bernard in the rescue. She is a pleasure to have. She is waiting for her new home. We can not describe what a fun girl she is to have around. Please consider her. 11/4/2013
Duke: and Phoenix: This lovely couple came into Saint Bernard Rescue via a kill shelter after their owner dumped them. They were very close to running out of time. We had to help them out. The pair is 3+ years old. They like car rides, love attention, and treats. We had to put them in a boarding kennel as they were scheduled for Euthanasia. We could not let that happen. It is unfortunate that wonderful animals, through no fault of their own, meet a fate like that. There are just too many of them and people who get pets need to honor their commitment. It gets pretty frustrating and that is being kind. These are the 1st of three pairs needing to come into our rescue. They appear bonded so they need to go together. If you can help us out with fostering, or better yet adopting them please let us know ASAP! They are very sweet and deserve better than what they gotten so far. Please consider helping us out with this dynamic duo! We definitely need to get them in a home very soon. 11/4/2013
Rocky: is a nice boy who came to rescue from a bad set of circumstances. He was tied outside and feed 1 can of catfood a day. A nice lady found out about Rocky and had the owners release him to her. She in turn gave Rocky to Saint Bernard Rescue. We as always are delighted to help him. He came in very thin and now has gained 20lbs. Since in fostercare we have learned many things about Rocky. He is very loyal, eager to please, and a couch potato! He is good with other dogs and enjoys children. He loves attention and will make a wonderful buddy for someone. He rides well in a car and enjoys a long walk. He has nice manners and listens very well. For a dog who was tied outside essential starved and probably not treated well he is a testimony to what "Mans best Friend" is all about. 11/4/2013
Riley: is the sweetest dog you could ask for. She is very loving, great with kids, cats, and other dogs. She is housebroken. The best thing about her is she does NOT drool. She weighs 96 pounds, is very healthy. She doesn’t play with toys or fetch but does sit and lay down on command. Her favorite thing is to just lay beside you (on you if you let her) and get lots of loving. She has been fixed and is fully vetted. She would make a great pet for any family. She is 3 years old. 11/4/2013
Angie: is a two year old female Saint that was picked up by San Angelo Animal Control. She spent a month in the shelter before coming to us. She is a very active and playful Saint, very submissive with people, but can be bossy to other dogs. She plays well with dogs that she likes, but does not accept new dogs readily. She can dominant towards other dogs. She likes to chase cats, but appears to try to play. It is when she is with people that she really shines. She loves attention from anyone and will lick your face and roll on her back for belly rubs. One of her funny traits is to sit in front of you and paw the air with one paw or the other. Angie has a bad case of cherry eye and will require surgery before she can be placed in a new home. 11/3/2013
Bo: is a gorgeous 5 month old Saint mix pup. He’s part of a trio. He’s very sweet and friendly. 11/2/2013
Nicki: a 2-3 year old female Saint Bernard who is looking for her forever home. Nikki’s first 2+ years were spent locked up in a small wooden box, where she was kept solely for breeding purposes, starved of attention and poorly cared for. But, Nikki doesn’t hold a grudge or have a mean bone in her body! This very loving and special dog is happy to just be next to you, give kisses and get belly rubs as often as possible. She is crate trained, housebroken, knows some basic commands, very eager to please and loves all people. Nikki currently lives with 2 other dogs (a male Saint Bernard and a male Puggle) and gets along well with them both. However, Nikki would do best in a home without cats (she thinks they are a lot of fun to chase). She loves going to the dog park and running with the other dogs, but usually ends up hanging with the pet owners, trying to get as much attention and rubs as possible! Nikki is very excited about life and energetic, so would do best with an active family without small kids. 10/29/2013
Sam: is very loving, walks well on a leash, good with dogs, kids, cats, and he is housebroken. The shelter workers say he is good with both males and female dogs just a little shy with new people. He is heart worm positive and we are going to fix that, so if you are looking for a new best friend than he is the one. 10/29/2013
Heidi: Hello my name is Heidi and I am about 2 years old. Ya I know I am dirty but I have had a rough life so far. On the plus side I like other dogs and I like to play and than play some more plus I am a sweet heart. If you have room in your heart and a big bath tube I will your friend for life. Heidi is coming into to our rescue she will be up to date on all shots and be spayed before she is adopted. 10/28/2013
Frankie: is one beautiful silly young guy. He is a big love bug that really likes to play with you and his toys. One day Frankie was being brought into his kennel and he saw one of the other kennel doors open, so he ran into the other kennel, grabbed a stuffed toy from the kennel and ran like crazy back down to his kennel to play with the ill gotten toy. What a goofy guy! 10/27/2013
Buddy: is a former rescue of ours whose adoptive father recently passed away, so now he is again looking for a home. Buddy looks like a senior guy but he isn’t, he just started getting ‘highlights’ early. We think they make him even cuter. This guy is so sweet, loving, and a big fan of playing. He likes other dogs and everyone he meets. He had a swimming pool but we can’t remember if he did any swimming, so he has a mystery that you can discover with him. 10/27/2013
Jackie: and Sequioa: came to us as a bonded pair. They are brother and sister and although we would love to see them adopted out together, they are apart right now and doing fine without each other and can each go to different adoptive homes. Jackie is 4 years old and Sequioa is 3 years old. They are very sweet and incredibly smart. They get along well with other dogs, cats and kids. They each weigh around 110 pounds. We believe that Sequioa has the potential to be a service dog as he seems to have the natural ability to help when needed. 10/27/2013
Mickey: (photo coming soon) is a 165 lbs ball of LOVE! He is good with other dogs and children. 10/25/2013
Cadillac: Hello my name is Cadillac I am about three years old and very well behaved. I am house trained and like other dogs. They tell me I am a big dog but I do not think so, you don’t mind if I sit in your lap do you. 10/24/2013
Roxanne: This gal is totally vetted. She is not good with small animals but fine with larger dogs. She would be fine with older children. Need work on a leash very eager to please. Learning what the world is all about. 10/21/2013
Edward: DOB 10/26/10 male Edward is a loving loyal, sweet, playful, bear. He is very male dominant indicated by growling and barking. No other aggressive behavior seen. The flip side is his very loving loyal personality. He gives kisses and hugs. He is a protector and playmate with kids. Edward is housebroken but cannot go to long without being let out because he drinks like a camel and his bladder gets full. 10/21/2013
Bella: DOB 1/27/09 female Very friendly, loving, playful, and loyal. Cat friendly, ferret friendly dog. She needs time to warm up to strangers and is best ignored during this time. Pulls slightly on leash due to eagerness to meet folks and other dogs. 10/21/2013
Alaska: Hello my name is Alaska I just got out of the Pender county shelter and now I am in this real nice house where there are other dogs to play with and people to pet me. Life is sure great. Alaska is about 12 months old and loves everyone, people and dogs but not sure about cats. She just wants to play and then play some more. She has moved into her foster home is fit right in. She is 92 lbs and still has a lot of growing to do. Alaska will be spayed on Oct 17th and then will be ready for her forever home. If you are looking for a big gentle dog to be your best friend then Alaska is the one for you. 10/20/2013
Maggie: This is Miss Maggie, her story started out very sad. Coastal Carolina Saint Bernard Rescue got a call from these nice people saying that their neighbors moved and left Maggie behind to fend for herself. They feed and did the best they could, but they were moving also. Poor Maggie was living in the back yard her coat was so matted she couldn’t even walk comfortable. We picked her up and the next morning we took her to Village Way groomers and with lots of love and treats and many hugs Maggie was shaved down to her skin and a very nice bath she looks as good as new! With all that Maggie has gone through she has the most amazing personality. She meets people like they are her best friends And she gets along well with other dogs and cats . Maggie is loving, loyal, house broke and very social. She is not fond of being crated her foster mom is working on that. Maggie will be vetted this week. Maggie needs to add some weight. She is great on leash. She is a true Saint! 10/20/2013
Candice: is 3yr old rough coat female that was released to us by her owner. She is a big girl but very sweet and loving and great with kids and other dogs of all sizes. Aurora: is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, also saved from euthanasia at the same shelter Frankie came from. She is a young girl at 2 years old. Aurora is a unique looking dog with one brown eye and one blue eye, and she one pricked ear and one floppy. She is well behaved and great with dogs. She is very confused about cats currently. She loves to be petted and cuddle and she has already mastered the art of holding down the furniture. She will be fully vetted before adoption and wants to go home with a family looking for a loving companion. 10/18/2013
Callie: is around 3 or 4 years old. Callie is a teensy bit shy when she first meets you but warms up quickly. She is very loving and will become very devoted to you once inside your home. She does need to be the only dog in the home. 10/7/2013
Berry: appears to be a very sweet boy. A bit energetic, but he loves and craves attention. He is very emaciated, and his previous owner shaved him right down to the skin (which is now sunburned). Despite all this, he remains very sweet towards people. He gets along fine with all the other dogs (big dogs in my house, and tiny dogs in the original owners house). He keeps trying to play with the cats but has shown no signs of cat aggression. He try’s to climb in your lap and lick your face whenever the opportunity arises. Berry needs to gain some weight and then he will be neutered. 10/6/2013

Dublin: (Redmond Oregon) is a 2 year old male neutered saint. He weighs 180 and is at a healthy weight according to his doctor. He is full blooded AKC bred and he is also microchipped. He is a family dog that has been an only child most of his life, he does well with other dogs and okay with cats once he gets to know them. Being raised an only child he is a bit spoiled and jealous of other dogs at times. I think he would do best in a household that he is the only dog and were he can have all the love and attention:) He has been through obedience training and is very well behaved. he does great in public and loves people, adults and children alike. Although he can be a bit jumpy at people in hats. Dublin has always been allowed on the bed so this will be a hard habit if his new parents don’t want him there. He however has not ever been allowed on couches or chairs and prefers to sleep on the floor most of the time. Dublin loves to snuggle and his favorite time is in the mornings, he is happy to cuddle up and go rite to sleep with you. As with all saints he does drool a lot, mainly when he is getting his favorite treats (Cream filled doggie cookies from Petco). We have lived mainly in small homes and Dublin does well with out a yard as long as he has lots of walks and gets to go swimming. his favorite place is the old mill dog park and anywhere in the snow. Dubs, AKA big D, wubbles and shuggie is a truly amazing dog and will make an amazing asset to any family. It breaks my heart to give him up but I feel it is what is best for his well being. 10/3/2013
Lucy: I am in need of a forever home because my owners gave me away. My foster mom says I am the perfect dog who am I to argue? I am completely house trained: I know it is forbidden to go potty in the house, and you can leave me to roam the house while you are away. I do not bother anything, and I will bark at people who pass by. Just letting them know that a big, ferocious sounding dog lives in the home. Those people needn’t know that if they came over to visit I would attack them with kisses. That is my one tiny fault: I love to give lots of kisses when my foster parents return home, but I am just so glad to see them! I am a lover; I like to cuddle if you let me. Sometimes I get on the couch or in bed, with permission of course. However, I obey and remove myself when told to do so. What else do you need to know about me? Although I am 6, and I hear humans talking about me getting older (I prefer mature and wise), I still have spunk! I love to play with my mastiff foster sister. We chase each other around the yard and the couch. We get tired pretty quickly and need a nap on the cool, tile floor. After playing and sleeping, I need food! I eat with my 3 foster siblings using my manners. I know it is not okay to take others food, or to get near their bowls. Speaking of foster siblings, the other two are Boston’s; one is a boy. We all get along just fine. So, that’s me; I would love to meet you! 10/1/2013
Bella: is a sweet young girl (1 1/2) who has had a sad start to her life. We got her from a shelter after she was surrendered with very little information. Her foster mom said she is very gentle and has gotten along with other dogs so far. What we do know is that somewhere down the line, a man has been mean to her. It will take her some time to warm up to the male figure in her life, but once she does, it will be for life. Whoever takes Bella into their home and life will need to move slow and give her some space the first few days. Are you ready to bring this love into your life? She is ready for you! 9/30/2013
Roxxie: this cute one year old female longhaired St. Bernard came in to Rescue when her family’s lifestyle changed and they could no longer keep her. Roxxie is a friendly girl who gets along with other dogs and she loves attention from people. 9/29/2013
Greta: is 18 month old rough coat female that we pulled from a local shelter. She is a very sweet and mellow love bug that is great with kids and other dogs of all sizes. Greta is spayed and current on all her vaccinations. I’m sure she would love long walks, going for rides in the car or just hanging out at home with her family. 9/29/2013
Sassy: is 2-3yr old rough coat female that we pulled from a local shelter. She is very sweet and mellow, loves to meet people, great with kids and good with all dogs of all sizes. She is vaccinated but when we picked her up she was in heat so we have to wait a couple of months before we can spay her. So the adopter will foster her until we get her spayed and then we will finalize the adoption. 9/29/2013
Rosie: is a very sweet mellow girl that came to us from her owner. She is under weight by about 20lbs and needs to be spayed and vaccinated which we will take care of this week. Rosie is kid and dog friendly, love walks or going for rides in the car. Now all she needs is a family that will give her lots of TLC for the rest of her life. 9/29/2013
Candy: is a sweet 10 month female rough coat. She was rescued by a lady from her owners because she couldn’t stand seeing her left tied up outside, then she called us. Candy is a loving girl that loves attention and gets along with other dogs. She would do great in a home with kids and another dog to play with. Being Candy is young we do recommend obedience training. We plan on getting her spayed and updated on her vaccines then she will be available for adoption. 9/29/2013
Armani: is a sweet 3 month old Great Pyrenees. This baby boy has been through a lot. He was hit by a car and suffered a broken pelvis. He is not yet available for adoption, Once he leaves the animal hospital with a clean bill of health he will be ready for his new home. 9/28/2013
Samson: is an awesome dog. i have had him for just about a month and a half. The reason for letting him go is my son has bad allergies and other issues as well. Samson is playful and very loving. He knows commands like sit, lay down, and shake. He will make a great guard dog. He is territorial but once he knows you he is fine. 9/28/2013
Chrissy: has recently been found after being dumped by her previous family. She is extremely underweight and will be spayed, utd on shots, and micro chipped upon adoption. Please contact the rescue for further inquiry. 9/25/2013
Birdie: This is Birdie who came to us as a stray from a shelter in Boise – but we have no idea why anyone would give up this lovely lady. She is a bit scared of some things, but who wouldn’t be?She walks well on the leash. So far we see she does well with the other big dogs and walks on a leash. She is potty trained and doesn’t show any signs of destructive behavior. The foster cannot believe someone would have abandoned such a lovely girl. We believe she is about 5, fully vetted and spayed. She is a bit thin, but we know the perfect home can take care of that. She is a love and enjoys belly rubs and being loved on and she likes to play in the creek and oh, yeah hopefully you have a big bed because the foster says she is most comfortable taking her naps there! 9/23/2013
Bella: is a 15 MO spayed female rough coat. She’s adjusting well and gaining confidence at the Rescata. 9/22/2013
Duke: (Birmingham AL.) is a 5 yo neutered male rough coat. His owners are going to move and he needs a new home. He’s great w/ their 2yo child. He is located near Birmingham AL. 9/22/2013
Boris: is playful 120lbs 2 year old. He loves toys and will bring them to you when you come home. He likes to go out side for walks but he doesn’t like to be in the yard for long. He doesn’t do well with small kids. He has never bitten a child but act very funny around them. Boris isn’t really dog friendly. He is also scare of loud noises, firecracker and lightning. He will try to cuddle under you whenever things are going off. But if he hears yelling, he’ll just go hide in a corner. He barks at people knocking at the door but won’t bite. He is house broken. He doesn’t like baths. He eats soft and hard food mixed but is picky and will only eat when really hungry. He is all white with some brown spot in on one side of his ear. He has a lot of brown spots and on one side of his face, he has a big brown patch covering his eye. This guy needs a confident, loving owner to help him build up self confidence and teach him he is safe, loved and protected. 9/19/2013

Oliver is 18 months and a 135lbs.and still growing. He has lots of energy so would do well with older children and a family with large breed experience. He will make a great addition to any family if given the attention and training he so deserves. Oliver gets along well with other dogs and wants to be your best friends. 9/17/2013

I don’t have any food aggression which surprised my people, I am a little on the thin side since my past people told my rescuers they forgot to feed me sometimes (can you believe that). I am UTD on my shots, just need to gain some weight (which I am def. working on). 9/14/2013

Daemon: Daena: Daisy: Danny: Daphne: Dexter: Dillon: Diva: Dixie: Dolly: Dottie: Dozer: & Dresden: (Southern Texas) Thirteen Saint bernard/black mouth cur mixed puppies looking for forever homes in Southern Texas. We are located about 45mins north of Houston. The mother is around 40lbs, very sweet temperament. She is protective of the house, intelligent, and an all around good dog. The father is 110lbs and growing he is very young, this litter was accidental). He is extremely mellow and loving. The father is a pet quality saint and does not have proper jowls for the breed, so the puppies will likely not drool. This was an accidental litter between a supposedly spayed cur that was dumped on my friends property, and her adolescent Saint bernard who she is waiting to neuter until he is older for medical reasons. Puppies will be temperament tested, have all their shots/wormings, and will have been started on house breaking and a few basic obedience commands (i.e. sit) before they leave. Nana: is a female Saint Bernard of unknown age. She just arrived into rescue, and as you can see from her photos, has been lacking care and attention for quite some time. Nana had horrible fleas, tapeworms, mange, is heartworm positive, and is emaciated, weighing in at only 75 lbs for a full grown Saint. Nana’s teeth are worn down and broken (like she has been chewing metal??) which is why we really have no idea on her age at this point. There hasn’t been alot of joy or comfort in her life, but when you talk to her and pet her- her hairless, rat like looking tail starts to wag, like she has the slightest bit of hope that things just might get better. And this is the true calling of rescue-to make better situations like Nana’s. 8/31/2013
Watson: & Quinn: Quinn is the female, and Watson is the male. They are probably part Saint, and part Great Pyrenees. But Now I am happy to report I’m loving the indoors, my fur is growing in nice and soft, I’m 29 Lbs, I am already neutered up to date with all my shots and I am crate and leashed trained. Can I please come live on your couch? 8/31/2013
Roman: is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees who we believe to be an LGD. Because of severe matting he had to be sheared down, but when he gains a little weight and gets his fur back in he’s going to be one handsome dog. He is very mild and laid back but cannot be contained in a kennel. He will need to either be an LGD or in a yard with a wood privacy fence. 8/28/2013

Ollie: Hi. I am Ollie. Let me tell you when they say it takes a village, boy that is especially true for me! My story starts sad, but you can be my happy storybook ending. I was lost and wondered onto a family’s porch, weak, extremely underweight and a pre-gangrene wound on my back paw. They took me to a shelter, but it was a high kill shelter. However, a kind worker had pity on me and called saint rescue. I was transported to a lovely rescue volunteer’s home for immediate medical attention, treatment and to gain weight. I was 69 lbs., then 76 lbs. and now a whopping 84 lbs. in only a few weeks! My wound is healing quickly and I get honey/sugar bandages that get changed every few days to promote healing and to stave off infection. I don’t even need surgery anymore since I am healing so quickly. Having loving attention, good food and a safe place really has helped. I am currently living with a foster family with two other saints in West Chester, PA, but I need a forever home. I am small for a saint and am told I may be half Australian Cattle dog and I am about 7 years old. I am great on a leash, love walks and going to the park to read my pee-mails 😉 I am very laid back and easy going. I OVE KIDS! I am up to date on all my shots, am finishing up my antibiotics. I have a complete bill of health otherwise. I need to be walked daily to build back muscle and to keep me healthy and happy. I also require lots of love and attention to reassure me I am a good doggy and that it wasn’t my fault I was being treated so badly. Do you have a spot in your heart and home for me? 8/27/2013
Rocky: is a very calm 2 yr old boy. He is utd on shots, very healthy and will be neutered in a few days. Rocky weighs approx 130 lbs. Rocky is great with kids and other dogs. He’d problem do best with a female dog. He loves being part of a family and learns quickly what is expected of him. He aims to please. His coat is especially soft and he loves being petted. He’d be a great addition to any home. 8/27/2013
Gertie: is 1.5 yo spayed female rough coat. Her owner has discovered a Saint puppy can be rambunctious and would like to find her a new home. 8/26/2013
Bruno: This Saintly young man is a Teddy Bear and a complete pleasure to have around. He is 3 years old and very well behaved. He is housebroken, like kids, cats, and other dogs. He likes to hang out with his family and play in the yard. He is very laid back and enjoys a cold floor to cool off despite having a fluffy bed to snooze on. He listens very well and his family is heartbroken to give him up. He has had a great life in his present home and we want to make sure that continues. This wonderful, big, leggy boy weighs in at 140lbs. He is a true delight to have in our rescue. 8/25/2013
Tiny: is a rough coat splash coat saint bernard, and is 3-4 years old, and a SUPER SWEETHEART. You can tell by his pictures he loves belly rubs in fact we could hardly get pictures for rubbing his belly. He has a big head and is very gentle to everything he comes in contact with. This boy is for the true big dog lover. He is big, beautiful, and has a saintly heart. Loves treats, toys and wants his own home. He will now never have to be tied outside again. He loves the inside and is fully house broken. He had been a true delight and we are so happy to be able to help him find his forever home. 8/25/2013
Hoggle: am in (Evanston, IL.) Hoggle is a 3 yo neutered male soft coated St. that is very energetic and adventurous. He is always looking for the next new person or dog to meet, or small moving object (squirrel, rabbit, ball) to chase. He is housebroken and very well behaved and affectionate in the house. Outside he is very distractible, pulls on the leash, can jump a 4 foot fence and generally does not come when called if he has something else more interesting. Although wonderful with other dogs, due to his strong prey drive I would not have him with cats or small children that may drop objects and race Hoggle to retrieve them. I have arthritis and can no longer handle his pulling or continue training with him. Due to his gregarious nature, I think he will fit in well in a new home. 8/24/2013
Bentley: is a very handsome 6 month old male puppy rough coat. He was released to us by his current owner who took him from a cousin that couldn’t care for him anymore and then called us. Bentley is very smart, sweet, loves to play with toys or other dogs, and seems to be OK with cats. He is going to be neutered and vaccinated this week and then he will be ready for his forever home. We do recommend continued obedience training and lots of socialization. 8/22/2013

I am working hard to learn all sorts of new things like walking on a leash, playing with my two and four legged friends and what the rules are in the house (who knew there would be so many). If this is what you are looking for just let me know. Molly is an energetic bundle of fur; she is learning very fast but still is timid about new things and needs reassurance. Nicole is an AKC registered St Bernard. She has a 1 and 6 year old children in her home currently. Nicole’s family moved from a 20 acre farm to the city and the house is small and they have a 3rd child on the way, so they felt it best she be in a home where she can get more attention and love and exercise. She does need to lose a few pounds, but she rides great in the car and loves to be active so with the right family, this would be a great fit. She is very mellow and has lots of love and years to give to the right family. We would like to re-home her directly from this family rather than confuse her with a foster home in the middle, so If you are interested in sweet Nicole, please contact us right away. 8/12/2013
Chloe: she is only 7 years old, just turned. She is spayed and UTD on all her shots. Chloe lived at her last home for 5 years, but when a two year old grandbaby moved in, it was very different for her, so her mom opted to re-home her or have her put down so she came to rescue to save her life. She is very confused as to why her life just changed as you can imagine. Chloe is an absolute sweetheart who does well with other dogs in her foster home, but she doesn’t like people getting up in her face and being all crazy so a family with no children (but maybe a four legged brother or sister would be awesome). She will be the easiest dog to care for and deserves to live out her golden years in a relaxing home. Will you consider Chloe for your place today? 8/12/2013

Bruno: Hello my name is Bruno and I am 5 years young. I am good with older children and people of all ages when properly introduced but I am so excited that I should probably not be around real little ones. I would love to go to a house with other dogs because I live with 2 right now and I would miss them. I have attended doggie day care and am somewhat social. I don’t mind cats either. I enjoy car rides, snuggling and I love to play, so if you are an active family, we will get along great! I do not get on the furniture without permission and I know how to ask if I have to go to the bathroom! I am looking for a new home after 4 years because my poor mom has children under two and I guess my energy is a lot to manage- but she has been great. Molly: Hi! My name is Molly I weigh about 110lbs I am UTD on shots and on HW preventative. I will be spade here this week. I also have this thing called cherry eyes and that will be corrected at the same time I get spade. I know my coat and face don’t have the traditional Saint look I have a fantastic black mask and I am a yummy red head. I am crazy about kids and family is really important to me. I have to be very clear about this I DO NOT LIKE OTHER ANIMALS. Some of us just like being the only pet there I said it! Oh! I also need some work on my leash and walking I’m great in the house I don’t get in the trash and I know sit and down. 7/22/2013
Tiny: Tiny is around four years old and she is a very special girl to us at the rescue. She is well mannered and just a little shy when she first meets you but warms up very quickly. We would love to see Tiny get a home where she is loved. She likes getting on her bed and plopping over for belly rubs and she gives great doggy kisses on the chin. 7/22/2013
Maxx: Was picked up by animal control as a neglect case. Thankfully his owners simply signed him over to the county so in return Saint Bernard Rescue was called to help. We were more than glad to assist. He is a lovely boy that is estimated to be 2 years old, maybe 3 years old at most. He weighs in at 86.5lbs. He is approximately 40plus lbs underweight. He checked out healthy other than his weight. He is good in all situations, however we would prefer a home with big dog experience. He loves laps to sit on and frankly for a dog with his history is very friendly, a true testament to the Saint Bernard Breed. He is a little too interested in cats for our comfort, so a home without cats. If you are interested in fostering or adopting him let us know. By the way he loves car rides and McDonalds plain burgers are a most for him once in a while. He is going to make someone a BFF. 7/19/2013
Pearl: Sweet Pearl came from a high kill shelter. She is about 6 months old. She was taken from a a backyard to the shelter after being abandoned by her owners. Pearl is house trained and crated trained. Se enjoys romping with her foster saint sister, going for rides and wading in the lake. Pearl has double cherry eyes which we will be scheduling to have repaired prior to her going to her new home. This condition shouldn’t effect her vision or eye sight down the road but please do some research on it as even though they will be repaired they can return. 7/18/2013
Suzy: and Polly: Suzy and her sister, Polly came in to Rescue from Pahrump. They are absolutely darling girls. Suzy and Polly are 5 1/2 yr. old St/Shepherd mixes. We are convinced that they are part of the same litter with Dixie and Mia (previously adopted 4 years ago!). Both of these girls demonstrate the same sweet nature as their siblings. We would love to be able to place them together. They seem to be pretty bonded. Currently in a foster home, the sisters get along with other dogs, horses, cats, children and all people. 7/15/2013
Honey: At 7 years young, this lady is a very loving Saint. She was given up to rescue due to a change in her family situation. It is our understanding that she spent most of her time outside. Since coming to rescue, she loves living inside and is housebroken. Our foster family reports she is a joy to have. As we learn about her, we find she loves car rides, likes to watch television with the family and loves to be walked. She is a smaller bred Saint, with a rough splash coat with a half mask. We think she is beautiful and would be a great addition to anyone’s home. Please consider making her your new best friend. 7/15/2013
Boston: is a 6 year old spayed female looking for some stability in her life. Princess Boston started out as a showgirl and went all over the country. After a couple of years and a few litters of puppies, she no longer had value to the first family and was spayed and sold with the understanding she would be an indoor family pet. Within two weeks, however, she was banished to the backyard and eventually she came to live with a single mom and 5 children. A year later, they had moved 3 times and her anxiety began to mount. Rather than work with her, she ended up in rescue. Her current foster family had a rough couple of days – and her new forever family will likely experience the same, but once she was given a crate to sleep in and realized she was in a good place, her personality came out. She is silly and excited to see you even if you have only been gone 5 minutes! She loves to be brushed and be the center of attention and would do well with a family willing to take her places. She would benefit greatly from another dog to keep her company and has done very well with introductions to other dogs. She walks well on a leash. 7/14/2013
Bronson: is 14 month old male saint, full of energy, loves to play and very agile for a saint. Bronson is in the process of learning manors, and also working hard on leash training. He will need to work on his socialization with people. He can be stand off-ish with strangers but comes around quickly when he knows the people. He is a very devoted dog to his owners and loves all the attention he can get. 7/11/2013
Sheba: is 5 1/2 yr old female saint. She loves to play, but also loves to snuggle and spent time with people that love her. She is friendly and loving, and she weighs 160 pounds. She is an owner surrender because the owner had a young child and she did not understand how large of a dog she is and loves to play which made the owner nervous because of having such a small child. She never was aggressive toward, she just didn’t understand her size and strength around the child. Would be perfect with an older child. Walks well on leash and has great social manners. 7/11/2013
Princess: I would like to introduce Princess she just celebrated her first birthday on 05/12/13. She a very typical year old Germen Shepherd that has too much energy for her current family and she is looking for work to do. She is UTD on all shots and will be spayed in the very near future after that she we be ready for her new home. If you have the time to work with this beautiful Princess and a place in your home than you should both meet. 7/11/2013
Max: Max is a 2 year old Shar Pei Mix. He is very intelligent, playful, and loyal to his family. Max is very independent and needs a fim, but gentle, consistent authority figure. Max needs a family that is experienced with training the Shar Pei breed. Unfortunately Max’s owner passed away and had no other family members that could care for him. He had no other place to go but animal control. He didn’t handle the shelter life very well and was going to be euthanized. He became highly stressed and wasn’t showing very will in the cage. Max has now graduated from our rehabilitation center . 7/9/2013

Horatio is great with other dogs and good with kids but we recommend older children being he is a young boy that will require some obedience training. 6/29/2013
Brandon: is 3 years old and is very loving, enjoys being with his people. Brandon has been with his family from the time he was a pup and they loved him and cared for him. He is a very big boy when he fills out he should be 145 to 150lbs he walks well on lead and gets along with other animals. Brandon is a smooth coat very nice for upkeep. Brandon is UTD on Shots and neutered. He would make any family happy! 6/26/2013

Radar: is a 170#, 5 year young, uber affectionate boy who came to rescue because his family is going through a divorce and could no longer keep him. Radar is neutered; current on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, housebroken, crate trained, knows his basic commands (sit, down, stay, wait, and come) walks nicely on a leash and does not get on the furniture. Radar loves to go for car rides, and play with his toys but mostly what this very sweet loving boy appreciates is any and all attention. He prefers to be with his people; however he is very good about not being underfoot. He needs a home with older children who are respectful. He has lived with cats and a small dog; however we would recommend Radar be the only animal as he really wants your undivided attention, love and companionship. If you are looking for a smart, good looking, mellow companion with a heart equal to his size, Radar is sure to lavish you with love and kisses. Radar requires a grain free diet. 6/24/2013

Patch knows his basic obedience commands and is good in the house with free roam. He is house trained and walks very well on a leash. He would be great with a family that has kids as he loves children and doesn’t try to jump up on them. Patch is a big cuddle bug and thinks he is a lapdog. He loves belly rubs and rolling around in the snow. If you are looking for a well behaved gentle giant to add to your family, Patch would be the perfect addition to your family. 6/22/2013

They were kind enough to give Missy a chance to find another loving family that will love her as much as they did. She is incredibly sweet and gets along well with everyone. 6/21/2013
Abbey: is a beautiful 1 year old Saint who needs a very patient family. She’s very scared and underweight. Some food and a lot of love will turn her into a wonderful family member. Abbey has tested heartworm positive and will not be available for adoption until sometime in June. We are taking applications for those who are patient enough to wait for this sweet girl. 6/19/2013
Hoss: is a 16 month old Saint Bernard who is going to be a really big boy!! He’s already a huge pup. Hoss is great with dogs, cats and kids. He does need a secure yard with a 6 foot fence. 6/19/2013
Sweet Pea: is the most loving and gentle Saint. She gets so excited to see you that her tail gets to going and her whole rear just sways with her tail and she gets a big smile on her face. Sweet Pea is a senior girl that was dumped at the shelter and we pulled her to safety. We are looking for an adoption home or a foster home for her. She may be a senior but she has a lot of energy, playfulness and love. Sweet Pea gets along with other dogs and goes on walks with her fellow rescues. If you are interested in fostering, give us a call and we will give you all the details. 6/19/2013

Lilly: Hi my name is Lilly. I am two years old, I’ve had all my shots (ouch), and I will be spayed (whatever that is) before I go to my new home. I love to play! I love kids and riding in the car and I enjoy other dogs company. My mom now got a new job so she is gone 4-5 days a week and she says that isn’t fair to me. I need someone I can train to take me for walks, because I like to pull on the leash. But other than that, mom says I’m perfect! Can I come be part of your family? 6/18/2013
Lola: Female Birth date 9/20/2008 (4 years old) Spayed Current on all vaccinations She is a sweet 4yr old young lady who can be a busy-body with regard to any noise or activity she sees/hears in the neighborhood and she wants to investigate it. She’s definitely not shy and is a typical female she can be very sweet nurturing (will walk around cleaning some of the other dogs faces & ears) or can have an attitude occasionally and/or just be stubborn. She is very mellow when at the vet or the groomer. When her tail wags up & down she’s happy! She is relatively calm easy going a gentle soul; but does have a very playful side too. 6/17/2013
Spirit: It is with tremendous sadness that we are posting this special boy. He is 18 months old May 9th, 2013, so he is technically still a baby for a giant breed. He is already 170lbs and is very active. He likes walks and exercise. He loves to play and get a lot of attention. He has had the best of the best of homes. He has been cherished, loved, and treated like a prince. He in return brought a lot of happiness, love, and with good spirit made days that were dark much brighter. He is a true Saint. You see Spirits owner is in her final days/hours of a long courageous battle with cancer. She has volunteered with us and is special to National Saint Bernard Rescue for her work and care of the Saints. We want to help her family find his new home. He is a wonderful boy who is going to need a special someone to help him with his transition to his new life. He has a great personality, and gentle manner. The fact that he was named Spirit is no accident. The new home will need to keep his name. Once you meet him you will see it fits him. He came into rescue at about 5-6 months of age. I knew when this amazing opportunity came up for spirit to go to this home last year that a possibility existed that we would be where we are now. We have no regrets, in fact I would do it over again. He has brought a lot of joy and spirit, if you will, to a tough situation. He in return met the best and understood the special bond between owner and canine from probably the best steward of the Saint Bernard Breed. 6/17/2013
Miranda: is a 5 year old smooth coat. Gal. She is very sweet great with everyone she meets. She would prefer to be the only dog in her forever home. She is great with cats. Loves to sleep and lay around with her people all day long. 6/16/2013
Buddy: is a 3 ½ yr. boy who is a little on the heavy side He is very eager to please his people, and he is selective of his play partners. He would benefit from a regular exercise and a very confident owner. He is a very playful and loving goofy saint Bernard. He would be a wonderful addition to an active family. 6/16/2013
"ROSIE": This 20 month old is such a sweetie! She is a little apprehensive at first, but once she warms up to you she is just a big lover. She is full of energy, but listens pretty well. She gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. When she sees her foster parents coming towards her she gets soooo excited, she wiggles and wines for their attention she does however need a little work on walking on a leash, other then that she is a wonderful little girl. 6/16/2013
Sara: This is Sara she is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the privilege to handle. She has manners and grace befitting a saintly princess. She is just a sweet dog gets along with everybody and everything. Wants to be by your side every step of the way. Loves attention. Her blanket and her human works for her. She is 5. She is spayed, shots are current, chipped, and wormed. She is housebroken and walks well on the leash. Would make a dynamite addition to your household and a large squishy paw print on your heart. 6/15/2013
Bo: is a handsome, sweet male 6 year old St. Bernard who was actually adopted in 2008 (his name was Keno), but he is back in Rescue because his family had a baby who has severe allergies to Bo. Bo is a dear boy who loves people, especially children. He is a laid back guy. He does have epilepsy controlled by Phenobarbital which is approximately $20 per month. Please consider a Special Needs dog. 6/13/2013
Bentley: is a young man that is about 4 to 4 & 1/2 yrs. of age. He is longhaired and up to date on all sots, neutered and tested negative for heartworms. He is a big boy and per previous owner, he loves children. Bentley is a clown and loves to play with anything. He has more personality than ten Saints combined. His forever home will have to have the time to give him the attention that he deserves but he is good when everyone is busy. He only barks when in the kennel, sees foster Mom and wants to play. He gets along with female dogs but have not had him with other males. Bentley is new to rescue and needs to find his forever home as he is trying to figure out what has happened to him. 6/13/2013
Snickers: My name is Snickers (formally known as Misti). When I first came to my foster in the DFW area I was not to sure about humans, I liked to escape and run and I did not like being indoors. Now, I am a friendly happy lady. I am about 2-3 years old, and spayed. Because I was not handled or trained I am learning new ways to behave and communicate with manners. I love to be inside laying at your feet, snuggled in your lap and be near you. I AM VERY loving for attention, since I had very little in the past I am now often in your face. I am still a bit confused with commands- but am picking them up quickly. I do not know how to jump but have history going under fences (I do not dig, I find weak spots)- since my current foster placement I have had no desire to roam. I am potty trained and current on all of my shots. I am crate trained and working on the leash. I am scheduled to begin group obedience classes in January. Follow me on my facebook page I Need a Forever Home for daily updates. I would prefer a home without other pets and only with older children, as youngsters and other critters startle me very easily and make me uncomfortable. UPDATE; 5/24/2013 Snickers now walks super on a leash. She has not had a startle reaction in quite awhile. She loves to go an walk at the Denton Square. She is currently living with 3 other saints and 1 beagle, plus 3 cats and bird. She seeks the attention of children in the neighborhood by sitting in front of them and nosing their hand. This baby has come a long way 6/12/2013
Alice: My name is Alice and I am super sweet! I get along with cats, dogs, kids and anyone else. I am an owner surrender from a family of 8 kids and a mastiff. Currently I live in the DFW area with 1 kid, 3 saints 1 beagle, 3 cats and 2 adults and I am doing great. I love long walks! A LOT! I am crate trained, potty trained and basic obedience trained. I am protective and will let strangers know they are in my territory or boundary- I am learning the leave it command to help me not scare people. I like to look out the front door and windows. If you spend time away during the day, you will want to use a bark collar or a crate to keep me from barking at passerbys. At some point I may have had trauma to my left side as I sometimes do not see or notice you are coming up from behind, I give a low rumble but then once I realize I am ok I quit. Children will need to understand this trigger. I will protect you from strangers, you will need to keep up with a firm but gentle command and reassurance that all is well. I am owner attentive and quick to submit into a belly up if I think I am in any kind of trouble. I have long silky fur which leads people to think I am a saint/pyr mix. I am a big slobber face! And I shed small puppies of fur daily. I will need regular brushing. 6/12/2013
Bunnie: I was kind of scared in the shelter and wasn’t sure about the ride in the car at first, but a nice lady took me to her house and I met her big and little dogs and some other dogs. They were all nice to me. I’ve learned to go potty in the ‘designated’ spot outside, I love to give kisses to little kids, I get to go on long walks everyday with the other dogs. My foster mom took me swimming already, I like to sleep on the bathroom floor where it’s cool. I would love to have a forever home. Up-to-date with routine shots House trained Special Needs Primary color Tricolor (Brown, Black & White) Coat length: Long. 6/11/2013

Paris: is about 5 year old female rough coat that was released to us by a local shelter after she was picked up as a stray and when her owner was contacted he decided that he didn’t want her anymore. She is a petite girl that we believe was used as a breeder and then not wanted anymore. Paris is very sweet loving mellow girl that loves everybody, gets along with all dogs, and just needs lots of TLC. She is spayed and updated her on all her vaccines. 6/10/2013

His family lost their home and couldn’t take Bruce with them and they were terribly sad to have to turn him over to rescue but knew we would find him a wonderful new home. Bruce likes other dogs, was raised around young children, loves walks and really loves WATER. Are you that new home Bruce is looking for? 6/2/2013
Andre: (Texas) is a neutered male Saint Bernard, who is microchipped and current on all his veterinary services. He is on heartworm prevention, and is wonderful with people and does well on a leash. Andre must be an only pet, as he is not good with cats or other dogs. 6/1/2013
Sophie: is a Border Collie who came in with Carly and Jessie. She’s a sweet girl and will fit in with any family. 5/28/2013
Winchester: is a 3 year old, neutered male who is VERY loving and VERY big! HE LOVES TO PLAY!! The couple who have him now just love him to pieces but he is pretty pushy and quite the leaner, so he will need someone who can accept his bigness and work with him. They are disabled and unable to give him that type of attention. Chestie as he is called, walks well on a leash, he has been around lots of different ages of children (although due to his size, small children are not advised) and he even plays with a cat who lives in the house. He was with smaller dogs and seems to show no interest in other dogs when he goes on his daily walks. Chestie doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in his big ole body. He has some allergies to fleas but if you are looking for a great loving family dog. 5/28/2013
Ella: & Satchmo: They currently live with a senior dad that needs for them to find a new loving home. He has had them since they were little puppies. They are gentle loving saints, housetrained, like other dogs and have good manners. 5/28/2013
Star: Meet Star. She is a typical, well adjusted, saintly girl, 5 yrs. old, and about 145 lbs. She is a wonderful gal and is super sweet. She loves to give kisses, even when she first meets you. She loves to play tug of war, and gets along with all animals. She is utd on shots and spayed (we were told). She is looking for that special family to make her own. Oh, I almost forgot, when walking on her leash she likes to walk herself, and turn every which way she can instead of just walking straight, so a little training and patience will be in order. If you are looking for a fun all around dog, she is the one. 5/24/2013
PETEY: or Scooter or Sammy or Buster these are just a few of the names we have called him and he equally ignores all of them. Regardless, he is just the most loveable Saint this foster family has ever had. If we were not moving where we can’t take him, we most certainly would be his furever home. We got him about a month ago and got next to nothing as far as information on him. He came from Craig’s List and was said to be 13 months old. When we took him to be checked out and get shots, the vet said that he was older than 13 months, certainly closer to 2 years old. He was clipped down but now his hair is growing in beautifully. It is soooo soft. When we took him to the vet’s office, he weighed in at 100 pounds and you could feel every rib. He looks much better, and is at least 110 pounds. When he was at the vet’s, he got all of his shots, was wormed, and tested negative for heartworms. He is really laid back, loves hugs, and really enjoys leaning on any nearby person. He is so food-driven, just can’t get enough and always wants more. He has learned sit very well (especially when he knows a treat is involved. He is slowly getting the hang of stay. We don’t have a fenced yard and now we can let him out (provided there are no deer or groundhogs close by) and he will go out and do his business and then come right back to the house (of course, knowing that a treat is involved!). He loves to sleep in our bed and is not a bed hog as some Saints can be. He also loves riding in a car. Sometimes getting him out of the car can be a chore because he doesn’t want to get out. He has even jumped in our trunk and would have been content to stay there if we had allowed it. He is no trouble around the house. When I am the only person at home, he will usually stay right in the room I am in. My husband says that he is a mommy’s boy He rarely barks. I really can’t say enough good about him. He is going to be the love of somebody’s life. Please call about him. 5/24/2013
Winnie: Beautiful little Winnie is pretty sure she has to be a Saint, because after all, she runs with the big guys. Shhhh, don’t tell her that we just aren’t real sure what she is, but we know she has the heart of a Saint. She is very sweet, has energy galore, loves to chase balls and jump in your arms if you ask her to. Winnie is estimated to be around a year old and probably weighs about 40 pounds. 5/22/2013
Napoleon: At 10 ½ years old, Napoleon was given to rescue because his family is moving. When we heard of his situation, we rushed to incorporate him into our program. He is a big wonderful loving boy who loves attention, his big comfy bed, and the other dogs he is with. Napoleon’s other name could be teddy bear – he is such a big loveable boy. Our vet thinks he is in amazing shape for his age. Please consider this big lovable boy for your family. 5/19/2013
Frank: Frank is a beautiful puppy, between six and eleven months old. He came to us weighing only 37 lbs. We know little of his history, but believe he has passed through a number of homes before coming into rescue. At this point in his life, he is a very shy boy that desperately needs socialization and to learn how to trust humans. His foster family is working with him to overcome his fears and to bring him to the point where he can be a part of a forever family. At this point, Frank is not considered ready for adoption. However, if there is a foster family out there with the giant breed experience, the time, and the love in their hearts to help Frank, we would love to hear from you. Frank will be remaining with the rescue until he is ready for adoption. Until that day comes, we will keep him with us and give him the best possible life as our rescue’s mascot. 5/19/2013

Havoc: WOW! Here is Havoc he is an 11 month young puppy weighing in at over 120 lbs with a giant zest for life. Loves being around people and playing and than playing some more. Havoc would do best with a 6 foot fence (he has jumped a 4 ft fence) and a lot of play time to burn off energy .He dose not know were his body ends and begins therefore older children would do best. Some puppy classes would help him learn some manners if you have a soft spot for goofy, fun loving playful pup this is your guy! Havoc is up to date on shots, on hw preventive and he has been neutered. He is house broken but still needs to learn boundaries and house rules (he is big but still a puppy)! 5/15/2013

I’ve been back and forth to places lately, which is why I’m ready to go to a warm home- permanently, and soon! If you’re interested in me, pwease let us know. Woof! 5/12/2013
Rocky: is a 6 month old Golden Retriever mix. He is neutered and current on all his vaccines. Rocky likes cats (likes to chase that is, but not aggressively, just playing!), and is fine with other dogs (who are all much bigger than him at a Saint Bernard rescue!) He loves a good belly rub, is housebroken, and is crate trained. He still has plenty of goofy puppy ways, and is the perfect age for working on some obedience training. This little boy will melt your heart, and he is ready for his new family! 5/12/2013
Chuck: and Nate: are 2 year old Border Collie brothers. They are adorable and loving and get along great with other dogs, cats and children. They are high energy and are getting better on their leashes but still need someone to work with them a little more. We would prefer they stay together if possible. 5/12/2013
Bogie: Meet Bogie (aka Bug). He’s an extremely mellow 5-6 yr old male pug. Bogie lived with a large dog and a small dog in his previous home as well as cats. Bogie has gotten along with everyone that he has met since coming into rescue, I can’t stress how calm this little guy is! The best home for Bogie would be one with older children or no children at all, Bogie has a birth defect in his spine that causes his back to hump up a little bit, but does not cause him any pain. If you need a little mellow in your life, check-out Bogie aka Bug! 5/11/2013

He is a people person and loves to have his belly rubbed. He interacts well with children. He has been neutered. He has always been a house dog but loves to be outside (in a fenced yard) when the weather is cool. 5/8/2013
Joe: is a 12 month old rough coat neutered male. He is house broken, crate trained & knows how to use a doggie door. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Ellie Mae needs to go to a home where she is the only animal as she is not friendly with other dogs or creatures. We would also suggest that she go to a home with no children and no frail or elderly people as she is very strong and needs some work with training. Ellie LOVES stuffed toys, balls, and chasing games. She knows how to sit, lie down, and wait. If you are looking for a beautiful Saint Bernard that needs work, please give a call about Ellie Mae. He is housebroken and is learning all the basic commands. Chewy loves to play and be with his people, but he is happy just to be with you. He is healthy and current on all his shots. Chewy is good with people but has not been around younger children, so we strongly encourage his forever home to either be all adults or older kids. Chewy came into rescue from Iowa. He is currently in a home with another dog and 2 cats, however is not tolerant of neither, so we recommend a home where he can be the only animal. He is housebroken and is learning all the basic commands. Chewy loves to play and be with his people, but he is happiest just to be with you! Chewy is good with people but has not been around younger children, so we strongly encourage his forever home to be either all adults or with older kids. He is waiting to find his FOREVER HOME! Angel: Since we have had such injured dogs in recently, Angel was the icing on the cake and our last nerve Friday June 29, 2012. She was left at a dumpster tied up with 1/2 her tail cut off, in the heat, SUFFERING. A HUGE THANK YOU TO MISSY, DEBBIE, AND JULIA FOR JUMPING INTO ACTION TO SAVE HER FROM THE HEAT AND STORM FRIDAY. FROM THE IMMEDIATE TRANSPORT TO PICK HER UP, TO HER VETTING AND CARE, HER LUXURY SPA BATH, ALL IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS DURING A HUGE STORM! ALL OF THIS WHILE ZEUS WAS HAVING HIS SURGERY. ALL OF OUR RESOURCES WERE STRETCHED TO CAPACITY FRIDAY 6/29/12. Angel has had 1/2 her tail cut off, we do not know how or why. She is at least 45lbs underweight and is estimated to be 1-2 years old. She is technically still a baby. Her bloodwork checked out fine. She is heartworm negative. She is another neglect case and we are very sick and tired of seeing these wonderful saints in such dire circumstances. As always we are thankful for the opportunity to help, and our very dedicated volunteers who truly care and love these wonderful dogs. She is in fostercare presently with a Mastiff named Sam. She is good with other dogs and is gentle with children. She appears to be a digger, probably from being tied up all her life and not liking it. She needs a fenced yard in her new home. She is a treat to have around and we are blessed for her to be with us and safe. 4/6/2013
Heinz: is a 17 Month old DOB 10/24/2011. He was a owner surrender he misses his owner a great deal and scared. He was in a home with a chi. 4/6/2013
Lily: What can we say about Lily? Well Silly Lilly for one. She is one of the happiest dogs ever to come into the rescue. She is so affectionate, she absolutely wraps herself around you. Lily is a talker to boot and she has so many girly-dog sounds. If you are in a bad mood, just spend some time with Lily and she will cheer you up in an instant. Lily is a 3 year old short hair loveable & huggable saint. 4/3/2013
Nellie: Meet Nellie, Nellie is a sweet girl, that has been adopted out once but is back. The family whom adopted her ran into financial issues and were supposed to bring her back. Instead she was stolen by them and nobody knows what happened during that year; however, she has been found. She ended up in a pound in terrible condition; weight loss, primarily hairless, raw/inflamed skin condition. Since then she has recovered nicely and back to her old self and playful as ever. Nellie gets along great with male dogs, although can be testy with female dogs (she likes to be the dominant one). Other than that she is a sweet girl! Nellie is now looking for her forever home! Applications are being accepted, she is back to good health and ready to go. 4/3/2013
Bette: came into rescue via concerned neighbors. She was abandoned in a trailer by her previous owners. After what must have been a terrible ordeal, she is still as sweet as can be. Walks well on a leash and is just waiting to see what will happen next. She needs to gain weight which we’re working on everyday. She will be spayed as soon as her weight will allow. She is probably about four years of age, is a longhair and does get along with other dogs per one of the neighbors that helped rescue her. A very trusting soul that deserves much better than where she came from. 4/2/2013
Ralph: is a wonderfully sweet boy who is just a joy to have around. If you’ve ever thought of owning a Saint, this is the boy for you! 3/29/2013
Brandy: She is a 2 yr old who has been starved for attention. She is extremely loving and persistent. She is housebroken, spayed, chipped, and wormed and all vaccines are current. She is learning leash manners and is doing well. She is eating well and learning what treats are. Gets along with dogs, cats, and kids but do to her needy personality she would do better with kids over 5 as she is a leaner! Is going to be one fabulous house pet when given a family of her own as she so wants to please you. 3/26/2013
Titan: This is Titan. A 10 month old owner turn in. His owner can no longer give him the care he needs. He is lanky at the moment, has a long way to go as far as growing. He has been working on basic commands such as: sit, lay down, shake, and roll over. Being a pup still he has to be let out on a regular basis. He is crate trained as well. Titan is being neutered, UTD on shots, and micro chipped. He is another sweetie. If you’re interested in a young pup, he is a good one. He is a little thin, but nothing that can’t be fixed. 3/22/2013
BO: is one handsome boy. He came into rescue due to his owner going into the Army. Bo is about 3 years old. He is housebroken. He loves kids. He has been living with a 7-year-old boy. Bo has been staying in a fenced in yard, so he may need a refresher on house do’s and don’t. He will be fully vetted before an adoption can take place. Please call and find out more about this sweet boy. He would be a great addition to your family. 3/22/2013

Henry: is a beautiful senior saint with lots of get up and go. Henry walks two miles every day without even breaking into a sweat (I think I need to start walking with Henry). Henry likes other medium to big size dogs and his play friend is fellow rescue Angel. He loves people of all ages and is pictured hanging out with some of his new found friends at a recent adoption event. He is a big gentle giant weighing in at 155 pounds and is a tall fellow too. Please note that these pictures were taken when Henry first came into the rescue and due to his surgery wasn’t allowed to have his beauty appointment yet. 3/15/2013
Holly: Holly is a young and very energetic ~18 month old. She came to us and was not housebroken, but she now knows she goes outside and has her very favorite and ultra private spot in the backyard. She also takes a little time to get the spot just right, so please be patient. She is learning to walk on a leash but still is learning because the world is filled with such great things to smell and chase. She has the softest fur of any Saint. It is a rich, lush russet brown. She loves to play tug of war with one of her foster sisters and when the tug is over, she loves to frolic and take turns chasing or being chased. She has been great with anyone she has met on a walk and gets along with her two foster sisters. When she came to us, she did not know how to climb or descend stairs, but the second night she came to bed with the family and has her favorite spot by the door. She loves to have the top of her head scratched before she lies down to go to sleep. Watch out! She snores when she sleeps on her back, with all four legs in the air. She is young and still filling out and learning, like any teenager. 3/12/2013
Sully: Sully is a 2 year old male who loves people and all dogs. He is curious about cats so a home without kitties would be best. He came to us from a southern Illinois shelter. He came to us with little to no manners but his foster home is working with him every day. He will require basic obedience. He loves to snuggle on the couch and has even learned to like his crate. He would do best in a home with older children as he doesn’t know his own size of 125 and is very rambunctious . This poor guy lived on a chain prior to be turned over to the shelter so the world is all brand new to him. He just needs a little love and patience! He is going to make someone a fabulous dog! 3/12/2013
Sparticus: Hey there! I’m Sparticus. I am a year and half old. I kind of got the name because I’m very big and extremely handsome. For a dog who lived most of his life in a basement, I must say I’m in pretty good spirits. I love getting attention and cuddling sessions. I can never seem to remember how large I am, so don’t be surprised if I just try to sit right down in your lap. I would be a perfect dog to cuddle up to on a cold winters night to watch a movie. I do need some training. I didn’t get much attention in my old home and I wasn’t taught too many skills. The one I need to work on the most is my leash skills. Like I said, I forget that I’m a big boy so when I get excited I tend to start running. I then totally forget that there is a person on the other end of the leash. Oops, I really have to work on that one. I think my free spirit and playfulness makes up for my lack of training. I also think once I have a family that truly loves me and gives me the skills I need will help be hone in on my good manners. I am honestly a goofy dog with a great heart and a lot of love to give. Who couldn’t use a little bit of that in their lives? 3/10/2013
Buddy: and Jack: are about 16 mo old thin boys. They are in foster homes with other dogs and doing well. They both seem like very gentle , timid boys. They will slowly be introduced to things in this world so they will be well-rounded , happy , St Bernards and will be available for adoption after being neutered and updated on immunizations and any other medical issues taken care of. 3/7/2013
Toby: is a year old fully vetted purebred Saint Bernard. Toby wants nothing more then to be your friend. Toby loves the outdoors, loves long walks, dog parks, and car rides. Toby is crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands. Toby is great with other dogs (large or small) and loves kids. Toby spent his whole life in a backyard, with little human interaction, so he’s on a mission to make up for lost time. Toby is still very puppyish, so he will need an active family, and would make a GREAT second dog! 3/3/2013
Panda: Flower: & Mr. Angus: Meet Panda, Flower & Mr. Angus These cute bundles of joy were rescued with their Momma Pearl out of a kill shelter. We believe they are Saints crossed with some form of sheep dog. These 3 puppies are fluffy and super cute. Although they are not ready to be adopted out until they are 9-10 weeks old (they are about 5 weeks now), we are taking applications now. Flower is the biggest female with a back and belly full of spots. She very out going and just loves to follow you. Panda is a very unique baby girl. She only has THREE spots and blue eyes! She already has shown she is a cuddle bug & a half! Then saving the best for last we have the only boy. This big teddy bear has a sweet, chill, relaxed disposition. He also has the cutest mask shape almost of a heart. 3/3/2013
Bruce: is a 3 yr old rough coat neutered male who was surrendered when his owner moved to an apartment. Bruce is a friendly guy once he gets to know you. He seems to take awhile to warm up to women but once he does he wants to be by your side at all times. He is a great indoor dog and is housebroken and so far doesn’t want to be on the furniture. He has good manners in public, loves to take walks, car rides and playing ball. He knows basic obedience. He came to us a bit underweight but is now in the normal range. He is up to date on his vaccinations and will have to have ongoing care with his eyes although he shouldn’t need any surgeries. This one is an excessive drooler, more than the average Saint so a stock pile of bibs will come in handy. 3/2/2013
Ty: is a 3 ½ year old neutered, shorthaired male. He is HW negative and up on all his shots and full house trained. Ty is a big boy; weighing over 200# so he is on a diet because he really needs to be a bit slimmer. Then again, don’t we all? Ty was a constant companion for a disabled man and he never left the house and was the only dog. He does just fine with the female dogs in his foster home, but he has not been with any males or around cats. After the owner passed away around Thanksgiving, his wife was concerned about Ty being alone all day with no companionship. He deserves to have a life because he really hasn’t had the chance. Basically, Ty’s personality can be developed and he needs a family that will include him in their activities. Would you be that family? 3/1/2013
Bartok: aka Bart is a handsome and mellow 4 year old smooth coat male that we rescued from a local shelter after he was picked up roaming the streets. He is a very sweet boy that loves attention, going for walks, riding in the car or just hanging out with his new family. Bart is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, and seems to be house trained. Now all Bart needs is a family to give him a forever home and lots of love and attention. 2/28/2013
Penny: is a 3 to 4 year old female rough coat that was found as a stray and turned over to a local shelter which is where we got her from. She is spayed and updated her on all her vaccines. She is a very sweet girl that loves to meet people and most dogs but no small animals. Penny likes to go for walks, riding in the car, or just keeping you company. We believe she has had some training because she knows the sit command but we do recommend additional training. 2/28/2013
King: is an adorable 10 month old pup. He’s sweet as can be and gets along well with everybody. He’s a very large pup at 170 pounds with a lot of growing to do. He will do best in a home without small children as he is very rambunctious and high energy. 2/25/2013
Stormy: is a very sweet and gentle girl. She loves to give a paw and have someone just sit and love her. She is a slow girl, our vet thinks she is 5 yrs old, but she could be a little older we are not sure as she was a stray from the Ca Pound. She seems to like to sun herself outside during the day, but at night likes to be an indoor dog. She is a real love bug! Not Good with Cats, she will chase them. 2/22/2013
MUMFORD: he is protective of his family. He needs to be socialized. He is an amazing, sweet loveable mush. He is neutered and up to date with shots. He is micro-chipped. Mumford is 15 months old and has a wonderful disposition he needs to learn his manners around strangers. If this is done right way when he gets to a new forever home he should be fine. He is good with children, and other dogs. 2/19/2013
Zoe: is 3 years old. She is a friendly girl who LOVES people. She will flop over on her back every chance she gets for belly rubs. Zoe is a big girl. She needs work with walking on a leash (but not always). She is good with small dogs. She is respectful of cats. She would do better in a house were she is the only large dog. She is fully housebroken, spayed and up-to-date on shots. She is extremely affectionate and loves to put her head on your lap to be pet. She is a big mush, who will fill your life with love and joy. 2/19/2013
Maggie: Saint Bernard Maggie. She will be 2 years old in March. She is great around people and well socialized. However, she is not good around small to medium size dogs. She is very loving and loves to be hugged. She know basic commands and loves to play I hate to give her up because issues I have with her and my other dogs. She plays well with a shepherd and the neighbors dog. Please if you have the heart and can open it up to her you will never regret it. 2/19/2013
HERCULES: is a really sweet 2-year-old male. All of the vet techs think he has a wonderfully silly personality and just loves giving and getting love. He came to us from a high kill shelter, This poor boy only weighed in at 87 pounds and he is very skinny. In addition, he is heartworm positive. This poor boy has not had much care in his young life. Even with the neglect he has suffered, he still maintains a positive attitude on life. Please call for more information on this very sweet boy. If you have love to give, Hercules is just the guy to take it. 2/18/2013
Sergio: is a handsome 2, 1/2 year old, male, rough coat Saint Bernard. He is neutered, micro-chipped, heart worm negative and up to date on his shots. Sergio is a big friendly guy with a great temperament. Before going to his foster home he was left outside on a chain and did not get much attention. He lived with two other dogs, and gets along well with people and dogs alike. We don’t know about cats. He is learning to walk well on a leash, and some basic commands. Sergio needs a loving forever home where he can receive some training, and grow into the great dog that he obviously has the potential to become. It is not recommended that Sergio go to a home with small children because of his large size. SERGIO NEEDS A HOME WITH EXPERIENCED GIANT BREED PEOPLE. He is a good boy, but very active and needs training. 2/17/2013
Nyla: is a very sweet and loving young girl who was treated very badly during her first years. Nyla was used as a breeder for a puppy mill, lived in a small cage and never was let out. When our transport lady went to pick her up for us they brought her out in a wheel barrel. She was so emaciated and dehydrated that she couldn’t even stand up and we feared the worst but with medical help and lots of food and love she has blossomed into a beautiful girl. After receiving medical help Nyla came to the Saintuary and started learning a whole new world and it has taken months of love and work to get her to the point of where she can be adopted. She would sit on her behind and scoot around in a circle to see things. She was so used to a small cage that she didn’t know she could get up and walk around. After months of work she would walk all over the inside of the Saintuary building but never would go outside. Finally a couple months ago she courageously set foot in the outside world and now runs the grounds smelling, running and playing like a happy dog should. Nyla will need a special home to go to because she is still learning about the world. She loves people but has never experienced things we take for granted. I was taking her pictures with my cell phone and when she noticed the phone she wanted to go back into her kennel because she wasn’t sure of what it was. I let her smell the phone and then put it away for another days exploration. Nyla takes baby steps learning about the world but she has come leaps and bounds from where she was at. 2/17/2013
Violet: may not quite be a Saint but she in no less lovable. She was painfully shy when she first arrived, but volunteers have been working with her daily and her self-confidence has come a very long way. Violet has learned basic commands quickly. She is a very smart dog and her desire to please makes her a quick study. Violet gets along well with other dogs. She is a very good girl who needs a home now. 2/17/2013
Tank: is a very loving, sweet natured and playful guy. He is also very good on the leash and knows his basic commands. His previous family lost their home and so he ended up with us. Tank is a Saint mix and we aren’t sure what the mix part is. 2/17/2013
Rufus: is a male, 11-month-old St. Bernard. His birthday is February 16. He has medium-long hair. His marking are exceptionally beautiful, and he has wonderful, clear eyes. Rufus temperament is very sweet. He is curious about everything, and loves to meet and interact with new people. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is house-train, and enjoys the yard. Rufus definitely enjoys getting wet and playing in the water! He also loves to play ball and with any toys. He has an extremely gentle mouth, like when he takes a treat from your hand. He eats well and loves to slop up a bowl of water!! He will make a wonderful family pet for almost any household. He would need to be with older children no toddlers or young children. Rufus is neutered, micro-chipped, and is up to date on all his vaccinations. 2/11/2013
Bella: is 2 years old and needs a new home she will do fine with children but they need to be older then toddler years. She is a big baby and thinks she is a lap dog. He is good with other dogs cats, and children. She needs to be taught some manners but that will come fast. She is totally vetted and will need a lot of love. She does create a very strong bond with family and will need to be reassured with new people. But it happens very quickly just a smell and a owner to reassure. It is her own fear. She is living with children. 2/11/2013
RAZZMATAZZ: is a wonderful gentleman, 8 years of age. He weighs 118 pounds and has been neutered and he is house trained. He is a very sweet boy, he is everybody’s friend. He is very easy to handle, is low energy, and is thought to be good with dogs and cats and older kids. Razz has failing eyesight, but it doesn’t seem to hinder him getting around. He loves to go riding in a car and will get into anybody’s car that is available to him. He needs to be adopted along with his lifelong friend, Rose. Razz needs to be on a grain-free diet. Once this allergy was discovered, his hair started growing back and his skin issues are resolving. 2/11/2013
ROSE: this sweetie is between 8 and 9 years of age. She weighs about 100 pounds and has a smooth coat (great for those who don’t like having to brush out matted fur). Rose is a sweetheart who needs a best friend. She lost some fur due to problems with her endocrine system, but since she was spayed this is now improved. Rose is a little skittish and needs somebody to love her and be patient with her while she builds up her courage. She is house trained and up to date on her shots. Please give Rose a chance. Rose needs to be adopted with Razz, her longtime buddy. 2/11/2013
Daisy: needs a home she is 7 years old and is a smaller purebred St. Bernard. She totally vetted. She has been breed many times and is on the fearful side. She is so sweet and needs love and care to come out of her shell. 2/11/2013
Dexter: is a 2 yo M/n rough coat. This picture is of him 1 yr ago. Dex was adopted in March of 2012. His adoptive Dad had knee surgery a month later. Dex did his best to help. Dexter is back w/ us. He gained more than a few pounds. In fact Dex is a tad chunky. He’s still a fun loving pup. He’s on the Rescata weight loss plan. 2/10/2013
This photo is Dexter now. 1/27/2013
Bella: she is a sweet girl @ 1yr old. She gets along great with other dogs, but loves to be with people, if she see’s people she will bark for attention! She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. 2/7/2013
Gabby: Hello There, I am Gabby, Gabby Girl or the Great Gabini. I am an extremely affectionate 16-month-old Saint Bernard, who is on the smaller side for my breed, just 110lbs.I am completely housebroken, and respectful of cats. My favorite thing to do is my lap dog impersonation, curling up on my human’s lap. In my foster home, I live with three other dogs, all of whom I get along with well and enjoy play time with them.My foster mom says I need a strong family that will assist me in my continued manners training, which I am doing well with currently.I love all visitors to our home, and have had no issues with adults or older children, five and older. I love, love, love to play in the back yard, with toys, and will need to have exercise everyday. My leash walking needs some work.I am a precocious, precious, sweet girl who needs a loving forever home, where I can curl up with my new family.Gabby is up to date all her shots, she is spayed, and also has had her stomach staple to prevent bloat. She is on heartworm and flea monthly preventative. 2/3/2013
Riley: is a 3 year old happy boy. He’s great with other dogs and cats and loves people. He would make a great addition for any family and is very loving. 2/3/2013
Charlie: is a female one and a half year old Saint Bernard. She has been a part of our family since she was eight weeks old. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come, wait, and is great on a leash. She had no problems as a puppy being housebroken, although when she gets overly excited (like a friend or family member she likes stops by), she has peed on the floor out of excitement. Charlie has grown up with our son who was a toddler when she joined our family. She has always been very good with him, patient and loving. She is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being in the middle of whatever our family has going on. The only concern we have regarding Charlie is that she needs a bit more socialization. She has always had unlimited access to our fenced in backyard, so she got plenty of exercise without the socialization that frequent walking would’ve provided. As a result, she is sometimes nervous around new people/places and exhibits this by urinating, "tracking"/following people very closely, or barking. We just welcomed another child into our family this week, so we are looking for a special person or family to welcome Charlie into their lives. 2/3/2013
Lucy: is such a sweet girl.Owner surrender thought to be 4 y/o but is actually around 6-7.Lucy is looking for a family who is as laid back as she is.Doesfine with kids and other dogs but isn’t quite sure about cats.Lucy is spay, fully vetted, heart worm negative and micro chipped. 1/31/2013
Chloe: Hi, my name is Chloe! I was dumped off and picked up by the pound, but then my foster mommy came and saved me. I come when I’m called and know my basic commands, I love to play, and love car rides.I’m about two years old and my foster mommy says I’m very polite.I will be going to a trainer Sunday so he can help me. I can sit, lay and shake. I am still learning how to stay but my foster mommy says I am getting better. I am fully vetted, back to great health, and ready for my forever home! 1/31/2013
Zoey: is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees who is really a love bug. She gets along great with everyone. She’s spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. 1/27/2013
Cadence: is a 3yo spayed female smooth coat. She is very playful and sweet. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. 1/27/2013
Mazy: is approximately three years old and what a cutie she is with her half mask. Mazy likes easy going male dogs and long walks. She is very affectionate and loves people. Mazy had a hard life as you can see from her "before" picture but just look at those after pictures. She loves to play, especially playing keep away and having you chase her around. She gets down on her front legs with her tail in the air just waiting for you to try and catch her if you can. When you do, it is all hugs and chin kisses. 1/24/2013
Toby: is estimated to be between one and two years old. Toby is very sweet and laid back when getting and giving loves but get him playing and watch out. Toby loves to catch the ball when you toss it and then it is a hot game of keep away. Sometimes he even trades toys in mid stride while running around the yard. Don’t know how he does it but it is a sight to see. 1/24/2013
Peach: is a 9 Mo. old Short Hair female. She loves to play has lots of energy. She is spayed and current on her shots. She does Not like to share her food dish. and will steal food from other dogs. The adoption fee includes all shots, heart worm test, neutering, a Home Again microchip and one night free obedience class in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe areas. We also include an information packet and dog food. 1/20/2013
Alice: is a sweet dog, she will dig to get out of a yard, as she wants to be a house dog, and have attention! She does not like small dogs, but gets along with large dogs. She came in from a shelter in CA and we think she is between 2-3 yrs old but we are not sure. She does pull on a leash and can use some obedience training. 1/20/2013
Bernie: came to rescue from a shelter in OK, where he was picked up as a stray. He is housebroken, and very well mannered, so at some time in his life, Bernie was someone’s cherished pet. He even walks very well on a leash! Bernie has been neutered, tested negative for heartworms, and has had a dental cleaning and all his vaccines. We are guessing that Bernie is about 3-4 years old. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and loves people! Bernie is ready to become your new best friend! 1/20/2013
Montana: and Dakota: are male and female Great Pyrenees pups that are about a year old. They are as sweet as can be and have had an awfully rough start so far. Can be adopted separately. 1/17/2013
Charlie: Hi, my name is Charlie. I’m a quiet Saint and quite the lover. I’m laid back and getting along with everybody, even mom’s birds. I don’t bark much at all. I’m about 1 1/2 years old. I just got saved from them putting me to sleep last week. I don’t know what I ever did wrong in my old home, but they sure didn’t want to claim me from that jail. I am house trained and let you know when I need to visit outside. I know my basic commands and come whenever anyone calls me (I’m just excited that someone wants me and my attention). I do pull on a leash, but we are working on that. I just can’t help it sometimes I just get curious and want to explore. I forget that you are supposed to walk me. If I can fit into your family, would you come get me?? 1/16/2013
Isabelle: I’m Isabelle! I might be 9 1/2 years old; however, I have a lot of life left! I’m soo friendly. My family moved and couldn’t take me after 9 1/2 years. I was heart broken, but I’m better now and playing with my new friends. I know my commands and come when I’m called. I’m very calm and do anything asked of me. I enjoy being loved! If you’re wanting a calm girl with a lot of life left I’m your dog! 1/16/2013
Trinkit: Hi my name is Trinkit, I am 13 years old. Yes, my story is sad to tell. I have been in a kennel all my life. I have a hard time seeing and hearing. I am an absolute sweetie though. Everyone loves me. I get all with all animals and people. I need some TLC. 1/16/2013
BRUMMY: is a beautiful 5 year old male Saint. He is slightly on the smaller side, about 85 pounds; you could consider him as an apartment size or starter size Saint. He does require a diet of food with no grains in it. He also takes ear medications. Brummy is such a sweet boy. 1/15/2013
Demi: This cutie is a 2 year old female St. Bernard rescued from the local shelter. She is on the petite side – 100 lbs. right now. Demi is good with people and male dogs so a home as the only female dog is best for her. Demi is a good watchdog, too. She will bark at strange noises or unknown people passing by. 1/14/2013
MAMA: is an amazingly sweet smooth-coat 4-year-old female Saint Bernard. Being a short hair dog, she does not have the issues of keeping her fur from becoming matted. She is a big girl, last weighed in at 130 pounds. She loves to walk on a leash and does very well unless she catches sight of a deer or squirrel or a ground hog and then she pulls and wants to run. She is easily distracted and returns to her normal walking. Mama would benefit from having a fenced yard. We have had her almost a year and do not have a fenced yard, so she spends a lot of time on a leash. For some strange reason, she does not like to have her picture taken and so these pictures are from last year but she still looks the same. She is sweet and loving. She is friendly with everybody and with other dogs. She has not had any experience with cats. We are heartbroken about having to find her a new home. Our family circumstances have changed and we are not able to take her with us. She knows sit and down. She is extremely quiet in the house. She has only barked twice in the time we have had her with us. She loves sleeping in bed with us. She also makes her rounds, sleeping on our granddaughter’s bed, our love seat/hassock and our bed. We really hope that somebody full of love will take her into their home and love and spoil her as much as possible. 1/12/2013
Maddie: Hello there my friendly folks for I am Maddie! I might only be three years old but I have lots of energy needed to be wasted and a nice home sounds like just a place to let off some steam. I am already spayed, vaccinated, (Oh I fear the H1N1) I have also been heartworm tested and started on monthly flea and heartworm treatments. I will need some house training but if you adopt me I will be sure to do my best and try. I love being outdoors and to be played with. If you adopt me I will love you with my big heart until the day you die. If you get one of those application forms you’ll be making the best choice in your life. So go ahead and get one! 1/12/2013
Buddy: My name is Buddy. I found my way to the Saint Bernard Rescue on the 4th of July. Everyone was out celebrating independence, and I guess my old owner wanted some freedom too (from ME!), so he dumped me along side the road to “be free in the country”. I chased his car as long as I could, but he drove away so fast. I am a fast runner, but not THAT fast. Luckily, foster Mom & Dad were driving past, and watched what happened. They opened the car door and called to me, and I hopped right in (I love car rides). Who knew I would shortly have 5 Saint Bernard sized friends? But I love them all, even though I am only half their size (50 lbs). I, myself, am about a year old. I am crate trained, housebroken, and rarely bark. I am a good eater, and I come when called (even though they had to give me a new name). I got shots and neutered last week, and Mom seemed quite pleased when she said I tested “heartworm negative”. I have lots of energy (my Saint friends are lazy, let me tell you), and so Mom crates me when she goes away, as I like to carry clothes all around the house from the hamper, stand up on the counter and remove treasures from the trash cans (Mom doesn’t seem to care for that). Dad got kind of mad too, when I went out and had a nice roll in the horse manure. But, I love to cuddle in laps, and sleep in the bed (after I got a bath from the horse poop), and I would make some lucky family a wonderful pet. Mom thinks I am a mix of Husky and Cattle Dog. Whatever I am, I am cute and sweet, and I am looking for an active family that will exercise me and take me places. Another dog friend would be fun too. I don’t photograph well (Mom says) as I always put my ears back when the camera comes near (what IS that thing?), so my photos also have my Saint pal in them for reassurance. 1/12/2013
Holly: (DFW, TX) This beautiful big girl is a year & a half old Saint Bernard /Great Pyrenees mix. Holly was found as a stray. Holly brings a smile to anyone who sees her. Holly is GREAT with young kids and other dogs loves to just be around everyone. Holly is fully vetted and heartworm negative, house broken and crate trained. Holly’s only wish for Christmas is to have her very own kid for the holidays. Come meet Holly under the mistletoe today. /span>1/10/2013
Bart: is a 7-year-old (??), adult male neutered Saint. He weighs about 150 lbs, is current on his vaccines but is heartworm-positive. Easy-going and mellow, Bart is a big old teddy bear who charms everyone he meets. One of our older Saints, Bart is definitely an indoor dog who enjoys frequent naps, mealtimes and short walks in cooler weather. Bart’s most strenuous activities are periodically patrolling the backyard and the “happy dance” he does at breakfast and dinner. Bart has a slight limp due to arthritis or early dysplasia. Bart currently lives in a multi-dog household and does well with other dogs. While not the brightest boy, Bart makes up for it with his sheer lovability. Bart is looking for a relaxed, peaceful home in which to spend his golden years. 1/9/2013
Deano: Sweet 4 year old smoothcoat male who was rescued from the local shelter. Deano is a doll who get along with other dogs and loves people and is fine around children. Deano weighs a little over 100 lbs. so he is not a big St. Bernard but he does have a big heart! Neutered, shots, microchip. 1/7/2013
